All 3 of the groups that performed were amazing! The harmonizing and syncopation of the SFGMC was outstanding. The range of songs they chose were nice and took me on a journey. The conductor and director were both hilarious and engaging with the audience. By far the best concert I've been to in awhile. I'm so glad I made the decision to join them in this celebration especially on National Coming Out day! I only wish I could have seen them again!
Beautiful music in harmony with heartfelt hope for understanding and acceptance. The San Francisco Men's Chorus celebrate with song and good humor 40 years of spreading their word. Moving and inspirational!
If you missed this performance it was "your bad." The artistry and professionalism was outstanding. The music chosen reflected the struggle of the LGBTQ community and evoked conversations about diversity, inclusion and equality. The chorus' tour of the south challenged allies and opponents to find common ground and acceptance of each other. Of additional importance was the support that the chorus received from faith-based institutions at every venue. The correlation and similarities of racial equality and LGBTQ equality firmly showed that until all lives matter there is no end to the need for constructive outreach and education. It was one hell of a fantastic concert.
Was so pleased to be part of this event. Would go again in a heartbeat!
This was one of the very best shows that I have ever seen at Ovens Auditorium.
Such an inspiring and uplifting event! Much needed in these troubling times. Truly something for all families and cultures.
This was uplifting and though provoking at the same time. The selection of music reached to all of my emotions. It gave me great hope that those in the southern cities the chorus visited will have come away thinking about love and not hate.
The conductor was hilarious, The music was wonderful. the soloists was operatic quality
The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus concert in Knoxville was beyond amazing!! The combination of the meaningful, touching songs sung by over 200 beautiful voices sending a message of love, peace, hope, inclusiveness and joy was overwhelming in the best way possible. This concert was a true, life-changing experience for me. If anyone ever has a chance to see the San Francisco Gay Men's chorus perform, do not miss the opportunity!
