Sam MacPherson is a New Jersey-born singer-songwriter who made waves with his heart-wrenching 2021 ballad “Routine.” He continued the momentum with his debut EP, Songs for Sam (2021), which included the melodic guitar-pop TikTok hit “Last Minute.” MacPherson has also penned songs for artists such as Quinn Lewis, VINCINT, Stephen Sanchez, Jonah Kagen and Garrett Nash. MacPherson signed with Elektra Records in 2022 and released the single “Backseat (All I Got),” which Atwood Magazine called a “poignant, bittersweet story wrapped in breathtaking, smoldering music… as catchy as it is cathartic.” His second EP Powerlines (released in April 2023) kicked off MacPherson’s first-ever headlining tour, which ran through May 2023. MacPherson has also shared stages with Chelsea Cutler and labelmate Jake Scott.

I ended up getting last minute VIP tickets. So I got a half an hour alone with Sam. He is such a fun and genuine person. I recommend seeing him live. I love his acoustic versions a lot more! It’s very intimate. I loved every second of his concert and the VIP. I have gotten a good chunk of my family and friends to start listening to him. He is such a wonderful person. I can’t wait for his next tour.
Super sweet and you could tell he really likes what he’s doing! ??
Such a good show!!! In a room full of people, it felt like I was the only one there. Great voice and the sweetest guy. Can’t wait to see him again soon (fingers crossed)!
It was a great experience! I just wish there was a clear way to differentiate between the two events and the lines and everything. But it was great regardless!
