SALT-N-PEPA IN CONCERT:
As one of the first female rap crews in history, Salt-n-Pepa became virtually synonymous with the brand of bump n' grind hip hop that dominated airwaves in the late '80s/early '90s. With their stylish image and candid, cheeky lyrics, Salt, Pepa, and DJ Spinderella struck a major chord with audiences that continues to reverberate today at their electrifying live shows. Whether fans are out to hear "Push It," "Shoop," or "Whatta Man," Salt-n-Pepa will deliver all the hits and more on their 2014 tour dates with fellow legends New Edition.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Representing Brooklyn and Queens, Salt-n-Pepa formed in 1985, blazing a trail for women in hip hop with their platinum-selling 1986 debut LP Hot, Cool & Vicious. The albums biggest hit "Push It" topped charts around the world, launching them to international superstardom and sparking extensive global touring. After several more successful albums, the trio scored another worldwide hit with 1991's "Let's Talk About Sex," a frank discussion of safe sex that was later reworked as political jam "Let's Talk About AIDS." The height of their fame, however, came in 1993 with Very Necessary, their top-selling album to date and the vessel for smash hits "Shoop" and "Whatta Man." Reuniting in 2007 after a five-year hiatus, Salt-n-Pepa proved they could still pump up the jams, giving fans plenty to be excited about as they hit the road for another electrifying tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Salt n Pepa brought the house down! Music was pumping, DJ's were bumping, the dancers were vibing and Salt n Pepa brought it! The crowd was so charged thanks to the energy of the dynamic duo and their team."
"Salt-n-Pepa can still bring it. The entire theater was up on their feet singing, dancing, and cheering."
"Amazing show. They performed all the classics and even did a great tip of the hat to other R&B / hip hop acts that came before and after them."

Kid Capri got the "Party" started & Loni Love is an Excellent host. I attended this event for the past three years. This year's event ran a bit long. The presentations, speeches, entertainment and of course the contestants were fantastic. However, it was a tad lenghty. Overall, it was a good time and event that is well worth attending. I plan to purchase my ticket for 2020 as soon as they are available.
it always uplifting tonsee women uplifting women and to see how a community comes together and give back. ive been 3 times and always look forward to the year ahead. each year gets bigger and better. had a fabulous time.
Started on time. Drinks were weak. Perfomances were amazing.
I went to the Mixtape Tour date in July 2019 in Raleigh, NC at the PNC Arena. NKOTB, Salt 'n Pepa, Naughty by Nature, Tiffany and Debbie Gibson. SNP's voices, dancing, costume design and energy were awesome. They reminded me that they are the true original queens of hip-hop for a reason. I forgot how many hits they had. I'm a bigger fan of their unreleased music though. All acts were flawless and all of their sets were interwoven like a virtual mixtape. Set/stage designs for the 2 stages and each acts movements between both stages was something like I'd never seen before. Great. Creative design was exceptional and all acts' crowd interactions were great. NKOTB were hilarious.
If I would have know the show would be less then an hour, I would have thought twice about going. They will be in a group concert within the next few months in my home town for the same price with 4 other groups.
The concert was good and the ladies still sound AMAZING! However I was quit disappointed on the brevity of the concert, it ONLY lasted 57 mins! I've been to other concerts at the Hard Rock in Biloxi and this by far was the shortest. If they come again, please make is last at least 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. long so we can at least get our money worth. Other than that....Keep on PUSHING IT ladies!!
Very short show! Should play a longer show for the money.
Great concert but was too short. Lasted less than an hour and they took a lot of breaks.
I was very disappointed in this event. We decided to travel to Biloxi for my bachelorette party so we could see Salt N Pepa. The DJ was playing when we arrived and he was pretty good. He played until about 8:15. Salt N Pepa sounded great but they did not play any of their songs in it's entirety. It almost seemed as if something was wrong because they both ran off stage without a "farewell." The concert area was cleared out and we were on the casino floor for 9pm. Considering they only performed for about 40 minutes, it was NOT worth the amount of money we paid for the tickets.
