Rodney Carrington on Tour
One of America's most popular comedians and an actor and author to boot, Rodney Carrington shows just what kind of good times can happen when country meets comedy.
Since the breakthrough success of his first major-label release Hangin' with Rodney in 1998, Carrington has been a favorite of audiences all over the world thanks to his enjoyably raucous take on the best things in life, starting with whatever's in the bottle in front of him. With signature songs like "Just One Beer," "Wish She Would Have Left Quicker" and "Put Your Clothes Back On," he proves that some jokes just go better when combined with the twang and swagger of a country tune.
In addition to being one of America's Top 10 highest-grossing comedians, Carrington headlined his own ABC sitcom with Rodney and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses. In 2017, his special Here Comes The Truth brought his blue-collar brand of stand-up and musical comedy to Netflix. His 2020 tour of venues across the U.S. and Canada follows the release of his latest album, Get Em Out, which hit No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart.
Rodney Carrington Background
Rodney Carrington has been providing proudly blue-collar audiences something to laugh about ever since his earliest days as a performer at local venues and on radio shows in his native Texas in the ‘90s.
After years of touring nationally, Carrington's breakthrough came with the 1998 release of Hangin' With Rodney, a CD that introduced listeners to the combination of comedy and country music that fast became his trademark. In 2000, he scored his first Top 20 album on Billboard's country chart with Morning Wood, an equally raucous collection that included such fan favorites as "A Dozen Roses" and "Older Women."
Along with earning platinum sales as a recording artist, Carrington's achievements include starring in the ABC sitcom Rodney (2004-2006) and co-writing and co-starring with superstar Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses (2008). In 2007, he made the jump to the publishing world with his first book, Coming Clean. His Netflix special Here Comes the Truth debuted in 2017. Get Em Out, his eighth comedy album, was released in 2019.
Rodney Carrington is the best! Absolutely hilarious! We loved every minute!!
Rodney did not disappoint. Our group of 8 left with smiles on our faces and many one line memories. Love me some Rodney comedy
Rodney is such a great performer!! My boyfriend had never seen him before and smiled the entire time. Truly a talented man!!
Sometimes the language was a turn off but he is really funny
This was his best show yet !! Non stop laughing !! We had the best time !!
Rodney always s puts on a good show. However the sound system was sub par. There was times I couldn’t understand what he said. The background lighting should be a little softer light as well. It created a glare for me.
We’ve seen Rodney before, years ago - twice. He’s always had some trash in his show but I could still laugh about it. This new material is rank. I wish we wouldn’t have spent the money. You can only hear the “P” word so many times before it’s just not funny anymore. Sorry Rodney, you can be funny without all that. The venue (Margaritaville) was great. Sat in the balcony area on the first row and I think anywhere up there would be good.
Had a great time! Laughed pretty much the whole time there. It was a great night out to just relax.
My wife and I attended the show, it was actually a Great Venue, we were fortunate enough to have front row seats, and we were surrounded by people that also apparently had a great time. This was our first time going to a Comedy "Concert"and Rodney Carrington did not disappoint. I would highly recommend his show. Just as a side note, if you don't like "dirty"comedy you might not like him but I thought he was Outstanding! Back to the venue, parking was great and access into the venue area was really easy. Tickets were on my phone and they went without a hitch and the cost of "beverages"were very reasonable.
This was one of the best shows I've seen in a very long time.
