Perfect Crime Tickets

I guess having a Master's Degree does not cut it! This show was terrible. The main actress ran through her lines so quick even before the male actors could answer. It was confusing and I felt lines were left out. People around me were also confused or sleeping. It made no sense and the plot was buried so deep no one cared. During one act the detective came in and stated he loved the psychiatrist and everyone wondered where did that come from? Apparently, the actress was sick and the detective did not want to get close to her. There were more questions than answers from the lack of direction the show took. Real waste of money.

No one in our group, nor anyone we spoke with on the way out, understood the plot. It was slow moving with lots of dialogue that didn’t seem to lead a path to understanding. It was not enjoyed by anyone we encountered that evening.

My husband and I are still laughing about how awful this play was. I don’t know how I missed all the terrible reviews, but please, listen to them and do not see this play. Everyone has already said it all: the theatre is dingy; the “star” is 30 years too old for the plot to make sense, and she has performed the part so many times that she goes too fast. The man playing her husband was almost unintelligible. The plot is ridiculous. They give you an answer key at the end of the play! I am so mad to have wasted my one NYC trip on this show, but all I can do is laugh (or else I’ll cry!).

Fun play, everyone was captivated by all performers. Cute set and easy to follow all acts.

The play was very confusing. There were a few parts that we giggled at but, overall not my cup of tea. At the end of the show they gave an answer cup, which lead me to believe they knew this play was confusing and made no sense.

I have never before given a Broadway or Off-Broadway show such a low rating. This play was terrible. Especially horrible was the lead actress, Catherine Russell, who has apparently been playing this role without a break for over 30 years. And it shows! She rushes through her lines, mumbling, and not projecting loud enough to be heard even in this small house. Time to hang it up, Catherine! The rest of the cast gave passable performances. Here's another first: on leaving the theatre, the audience is given typed sheets explaining what actually happened in the play! We'd never understand "who done it"without this!

Puzzling at the start, this play turned out to be very exciting and kept us on our toes. Great cast!

I very sorry but have to be honest worse show I have ever gone to was not worth the $70 we paid for tickets we left at intermission.

Deff believe the reviews. Had absolutely no idea what was going on the entire time. Avoid this show at all costs. Unless you have nothing else really going on, then it’s an interesting and funny way to spend 2 hours with no idea what’s going on at all. ???♀?

My wife and truly enjoyed this performance. Well-acted, good story and very engaging. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon matinee.
