PATTI AUSTIN IN CONCERT:
Grammy-winning R&B, jazz, and big band icon Patti Austin has a Grade A pedigree to match her impressive voice — boasting Quincy Jones and Dinah Washington as godparents, the singer made her debut at the Apollo Theater at just age four. In 2014, Austin revives the legendary collaboration between Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington, playing Ella opposite the Duke Ellington Orchestra in a series of highly anticipated US tour dates. Renowned for her energy, improvisatory skills, and on-stage warmth, Austin stays faithful to her material while adding a tasteful modern twist that keeps fans coming back for more.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Harlem, New York, Patti Austin got an early start in music, signing her first contract with RCA Records when she was just five years old. Between 1969 and 1991, she landed an impressive 20 tracks on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, including the 1981 funk masterpiece "Do You Love Me," which reached No. 1 on the US Dance chart. Throughout the '80s, Austin lent her voice to a variety of projects, eventually becoming known as "Queen of The Jingles" for her appearance in ads by companies ranging from Burger King and Meow Mix to the US Army. More recently, Austin has delved into jazz and big band with fabulous results — 2008's Avant Gershwin earned her a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album.

Patti Austin was very impressive, her vocals were outstanding. The theater is beautiful but very small and tricky to handle drinks. Otherwise, a beautiful experience, and Congratulations to the Cabot Theater on their 100th Birthday!! Honored to be a part of it.
Patti is the consummate performer; immensely talented, funny, completely entertaining. She is a gem. The theatre is a jewel. Street parking worked out.
She puts on a great show. Very funny and entertaining. We saw her 20 yrs ago and she didn’t disappoint us !! Can’t wait to see her again
Patti Austin's concert completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing musical talent - Wonderful presence - and an amazing band! Love the Aliante venue.
Delightful. This was a bucket list concert. I have enjoyed Patti's music most of my life and have performed some of her songs. She was impressive and entertaining. My favorite moments were the antidotes she shared about her experiences with James Ingram. I would love to see her again.
Patti Austin put on a wonderful show for us. I was very impressed with her professionalism and vocal talent. Her band was very good as well. She bonded with the audience and shared her experiences in the music world. I would definitely see her again if she appeared in my area.
I've seen Miss Austin perform on several occasions, and she never disappoints. Her show is as fresh as her comedy. That's right, her comedy. If you think you're coming to just hear her sing you're in for a surprise. She is an entertainer, so you get it all. She's simply the best and she's on top of her game.
Thank you Patti for an outstanding performance. I've grown up listening to you throughout the years and your soulful voice still touches my spirit. Also, didn't realized you had a fun loving personality. :) Thank you for sharing the love. Loved the combination performance with Gerald Albright and Johnathan Butler. Great job fella's and thank you for the rhythm and soul. Blessings
The 3 artists individually could sell out any venue but collectively was one hell of a show!
