Origami Angel on Tour
Emo-rock duo Origami Angel are bringing their invigorating, angst-filled brand of music to the stage on a nationwide tour in 2022. Their infectious sound delivers emo-pop, screamo and electronic undertones to die-hard fans who call themselves the Gami Gang. The band's 2021 album is titled GAMI GANG as an apparent ode to their loyal following. Origami Angel is known for their signature lighthearted, lyrical humor, often in the form of hilarious puns. Fans can expect elements of metal with power chords layered over double-bass drums and vocals referencing pop culture, viral memes, video games, and cartoons. Onstage, they deliver an air of nostalgia and adolescent angst that only emo can achieve. Don't miss the duo performing high-energy, hook-filled hits from GAMI GANG in fall 2022 on the GAMI GANG Tour.
Origami Angel Live in Concert
Emerging emo rock band Origami Angel was formed in 2017 by singer and guitarist Ryland Heagy and drummer Pat Doherty after their previous band Idle Empire parted ways. The Washington, D.C.-based duo wasted no time putting out their first EP, titled Quiet Hours, via Chatterbot Records in 2017. The pair quickly gained a fanbase, the self-described Gami Gang, who were drawn to lyrics that deliver a lighthearted take on the agony of youth, young love and a troubled world. Heagy and Doherty have cited their influences as ranging from '90s rock legends Barenaked Ladies to composer Buddy Miles. Origami Angel went on to release two more EPs, including Doing The Most in 2018 and the Pokémon-themed Gen 3 in 2019, before working on their first full studio album. In 2019, their breakthrough debut album, Somewhere City, earned popular and critical acclaim. Pitchfork gave the pair a nod with a not-too-shabby score of 7/10. In 2021, the group released a second double-album titled GAMI GANG under Counter Intuitive Records. The release improved upon their previous Pitchfork score, earning a 7.3/10.

What an incredible show- such talented artists and off the charts energy in stage and everywhere at the show.
Origami Angel was so amazing and was the best concert I have gone to got to meet Ry as well he is so cool and chill.
This was my first origami angel show. It was sick!
Super fun show. I liked the early start and early finish. All bands were great.
The music was awesome and the crowd was awesome! Had a lot of fun moshing! Only downer was that I could barely hear the guitar or vocals for origami angel. Other than that it was a sick show!
ive seen them twice within the past year and its been one of the best concerts ive ever been to. the first concert i was behind some pretty tall people, and still had the time of my life. vocals=incredible! the second time i saw them, i was at the barricade and was maybe 4 feet from them. if you love punk, youll love them.
Absolutely slayed, made sure everyone in the pit was okay periodically and made sure to stop the show when someone got hurt
If you like pop punk / emo with incredible energy this show is for you. Bring your friends it’s a fun environment for all
ive been to quite a few concerts, but i dont think any will ever top this one unless i go to the next tour! the venue, the people i met, it was so great i couldnt have asked for a better experience.
