The members of O.A.R. first came together in Rockville, Maryland in the basement of drummer Chris Culos' childhood home.? As a young group of musicians, they were the prototype of the modern, self-starting band--taking charge of their fate by working the internet and building an identifiable sound.? The band's music, a rock/reggae fusion, consisted of songs that were fully accessible, yet teasingly elusive.? Attracting?fans all across the country, the band members toured relentlessly, pushing their album sales through boundless dedication and word-of-mouth appeal, never waiting for the industry to catch up.??????????????????????????????????????????????????
By the time the band had reached their 10 year anniversary together, they had sold over 1.2 million albums and performed in front of over 1 million people.? Their most recent studio record, Stories of a Stranger, produced radio favorites "Love and Memories" and "Heard the World" as well as mtvU's Most Downloaded Video of 2006, "Lay Down."? The band followed up the successful release with a live double disc CD and DVD set, Live From Madison Square Garden, recorded during the band's second sold-out performance at the prestigious arena.?
Earlier this year, the band holed themselves up in a studio in Los Angeles to work on their next project, All Sides.? The album, due out July 15th, is certain to be yet another milestone in O.A.R.'s storied career.
Totally enjoyed the music!! Wish the venue offered seats & a better seltzer.
The venue, Mizner Park Amp, did a superb job hosting this band. The music was awesome & the warm ups were really good as well. They played 1hr & 45 min, which given the neighborhood curfew, was solid. The weather was perfect, which can be a big issue at Mizner. An enjoyable, stress free evening
Great concert as always for O.A.R. Their shows are so much better when they headline. A little disappointed Fitz and the Tantrums didn't appear as they were supposed to when I bought the tickets but the openers did some great covers to get the crowd ready. Love the general admission part - it allowed our group to move closer to the stage and get a better experience. Only downside was the sprinklers going off about halfway through the show, which was a bummer.
Great time partying with OAR and loved the Mizner venue in Boca Raton.
These guys just put on a great show. Really good energy. You can tell they really want to be there entertaining the crowd. Mizner is a great venue. Small and easy to move around.
Saw O.A.R. in Mizner Park and it was great. Band sounded excellent and the venue was very cool as it is such a small venue it seems as if you are at a private event!
OAR is one of the greatest live bands out there and they put on an incredibly fun show in Orlando as they kicked off their Florida 2024 tour. Glad to hear them play “I Go Through” to kick off the show. Their energy and love of what they do is always infectious. Highly recommend seeing them live if you get the chance.
We had a great time at the concert. O.A.R. never disappoints.
Another great show by OAR. Awesome setlist delivered with tons of energy, as always!
Been a long time fan of OAR but up until this past year have not seen them live. Saw them three times this year and every show has been outstanding. Moreover, in 30 years of going to shows (Lalapalooza, Pearl Jam, DMB, Dead, etc.) the show at the Hard Rock in Orlando was by far one of the best. The band simply does not disappoint…..and this show was representative of that fact. Incredible energy from beginning to end. Easily one of the best touring bands I’ve seen. Just disappointed that it took me 25 years to figure that out!
