New Jersey Devils History
The New Jersey Devils were born in 1982, the third incarnation of a franchise that began as the Kansas City Scouts (1974-76) before spending six years in Denver as the Colorado Rockies. The arrival of president/general manager Lou Lamoriello in 1987 started the franchise's rise to the NHL elite. The Devils made the playoffs in 21 of the next 24 seasons, including five trips to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Devils made it as far as the conference finals in the 1987-1988 and 1993-1994 seasons, preparing them for their historic run the following year in which they won their first Stanley Cup Championship, sweeping the Detroit Red Wings.
The Devils returned to the Stanley Cup Final in 2000, dispatching the Dallas Stars in six games on an iconic double-overtime Cup-clinching goal by Jason Arnott. The next season, as the best offensive team in the NHL, they returned to the Final.
The Devils' stretch of dominance was far from over, though. They won their third Stanley Cup Championship in 2003, spoiling the Anaheim Ducks’ first-ever playoff run with a Game 7 shutout orchestrated by Martin Brodeur. To date, the club has won three Stanley Cup Championships and five Eastern Conference Championships.
In 2022, the Devils returned to the second round of the playoffs — their first time since 2011. Led by young stars Jack Hughes and Nico Hischer, the Devils defeated their long-time rivals the New York Rangers in the first round, before losing their next series to the Carolina Hurricanes.???

Has a great night watching the Devil's, ticket included access to the Prudential Lounge which was a great experience. Staff very friendly and able to help as a first time visitor to the Prudential arena. What a game to choose, Devils win in OT
A great time watching two of my favorite teams battle it out. NJ fans are some of the best I’ve experienced a there isn’t a bad seat in the arena. Staff is always friendly.
Sector 230 has a proper view (good for the price). Food was decent, maybe a bit overpriced. The game was not the best of this season, but dramatic enough with a happy ending. Parking at entry was ok. Parking at leave a bit crowded and not organized well.
My wife got me these tickets.for my birthday. And the Devils gave me a great gift with the OT win.
I love Pride Night game events. But the Devils event lacked any energy or fun. The lack of Pride merchandise was disappointing. A Pride puck is not what LGBTQ are looking for on Pride nights. The amazing pride night design was not available to the general public. A Pride night in December at the Christmas game was awkward. I will probably not return next year.
I bought these tickets as an early Christmas gift for my boyfriend (a long time fan) and we went with his family. Getting into the game was quick with the Ticketmaster app and there were plenty of people near the seats to direct you once you got in. The match was great, despite some iffy playing by the Devils. All in all, we had a great night. The only slight downside was the price of drinks ($14.99 for a High Noon!) but that’s to be expected at a sports game. The toilets were also clean which was a bonus, but the wait times were pretty long. Again, that’s not unusual for a sports match though. If you haven’t been to the Prudential Center in Newark before, they do have a lot of parking at the stadium, but if you can I suggest finding parking elsewhere as the traffic is crazy trying to get out of the city.
Food still somewhat pricey n long lines. With games being sold out there should be more staff
Enjoyed the game, but we were sitting in the upper bowl, and could not understand ANYTHING the announcer was saying because of the terrible echoing. Despite some speakers pointing right at us, the echoes were terrible. Design flaw I guess.
From a Ticketmaster perspective, everything was great at the Prudential Centre. The Devils could not have played worst that night against the Sharks, but that is certainly not Ticketmaster's fault.
they r a great team and my seats were super nice! i love jack hughes even though he didn’t play
It’s a shame that the city has not figured out how to get people out of the city quickly. Other venues have officers and lights timed correctly and get traffic out much quicker. This is something that should definitely be looked into.
The match went excellently. A convenient service for purchasing tickets. Fast and pleasant experience
The game was great! Concourse seems like it needs an update, some staff is friendly but in upper levels people walk down the stairs alot when the puck is in play, so kind of annyoing
You are a hockey fan from Europe who wants to experience an NHL game? Visit the Prudential Center in New Jersey! Enjoy the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, have fun with an exciting game and don't get tired celebrating goals! (woooouuuuuuu!)
The game itself had everything I love about hockey...goals and a fight! The only thing that keeps this from a five-star review was the food in the Club Lounge East. So much salt on everything! I was excited about the fact that my tickets included the buffet; but the options were meh at best, except for the desserts. Additionally, bottled water wasn't an option as a drink unless you left the club area and went to a concession stand. Even mini water bottles would have been a fine alternative to water from the soda machine. Overall, as long as the Devils win then I can't complain too much.
First ever Ice Hockey game, couldn't have asked for a more thrilling game, great atmosphere and very entertaining.
Poor performance from Devils will need more from those guys. Stadium food mediocre and barely warm. New AI tills next to useless. Ticketmaster app good as usual.
We had an amazing time at the game … food and drinks were great.
