NEEDTOBREATHE have spent over two decades developing a unique sound that blends elements of rock, country and Christian music. The South Carolina band was formed in 1998 by brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart. They expanded the outfit into a quartet and released a string of independent projects before debuting their first major label effort, Daylight, in 2006. NEEDTOBREATHE’s sophomore album The Heat (2007) marked the group’s first placement on the Billboard 200 and earned the group their first No. 1 on the Christian Airplay chart with the single, “Washed by the Water.” Their 2009 follow-up The Outsiders elevated the band, reaching gold certification from the RIAA, while 2011’s The Reckoning marked more crossover success after notching their first No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart. With 2014’s Rivers in the Wasteland, NEEDTOBREATHE broke into the Hot 100 thanks to the Gavin DeGraw collaborative song “Brother.” The single “Multiplied” led to the band’s first Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. NEEDTOBREATHE reached a career peak at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 2016’s Hard Love. In 2020, the group announced the departure of Bo Rinehart and have since released three studio albums as a quintet with Bear, Seth Bolt, Josh Lovelace, Randall Harris and Tyler Burkum.

I thoroughly enjoyed NeedtoBreathe in concert at the Bell Auditorium! It was so much fun!
First time seeing NTB and I was a bit underwhelmed. I have greatly enjoyed their Christian songs over the years and was a little disappointed that they seemed to deemphasize that part of their large catalog. I especially was looking forward to "Multiplied,"but they did not play it. Earlier in this tour they were playing it (according to the setlist sites I visited), but for some reason they have dropped it. Disappointing that they feel they need to go completely mainstream and ignore a very large part of what brought them success earlier in their career. Was I glad we saw them finally...yes. Would I see them again? No.
My Wife and I absolutely love NeedtoBreath. Great band and great songs. My wife and I grew to love NeedtoBreath after we stayed in Seth Bolts treehouses in Charleston, SC for our honeymoon. So 2 kids, a lot of trials, a new car (new to us), and 5 years later we finally were able to come see them live. They did not disappoint! God is Good!
The NEEDTOBREATHE Concert was amazing! They always come out and play a few of the rock songs to get the crowd going and the show continued that. The evening began with special guest Kashus Culpepper, with a perfect blend of Southern rock; he has been opening for several shows on this tour. The venue at the Bell auditorium was a nice facility. The stage provided ample opportunity for the band to move around and the sound was very good. My friends and I had an excellent time!
Those guys are super talented. So great to see them live. They rocked the house. So glad they were in town.
They put on an incredible show of their talent. Their energy and music was an amazing experience we’ll remember for a very long time
This was a great show! Best band! Hope they come again!
After attending over 20 something NTB shows, they never disappoint! So original, intentional, and soulful! Can’t wait to see them again. Highly recommend if you haven’t ever supported them…you won’t regret it!
Such a fabulous concert, start to finish!! We had such a great time!
Needtobreathe performance exceeded my expectations. They covered so many songs from their catalog. I hope they come back to our area again.
