Great band, venue too large
by Grace on 9/24/24TD Pavilion at the Mann - PhiladelphiaI love Mt. Joy, this was my second time seeing them. I think their energy and music gets lost in a bigger venue.

Mt. Joy Live in Concert?
Mt. Joy is an indie rock band based in Los Angeles by way of Philadelphia. The band features Matt Quinn on vocals and guitar, Sam Cooper on guitar, Sotiris Eliopoulos on drums, Jackie Miclau on keyboards, and Michael Byrnes on bass. The band was formed in 2016, releasing their first single, "Astrovan," recorded in Los Angeles by Quinn, Cooper and Byrnes.?
The two original band members, Quinn and Cooper, met in highschool in Philadelphia. After parting ways for some time, the two reunited in 2016 in Los Angeles and began working on music right away. The pair recorded their first single, "Astrovan," with the help of future bandmate Byrnes, who they met on Craigslist, and Byrnes' roommate, producer Caleb Nelson. In 2017, Mt. Joy signed with Dualtone Records. Later that year, they released their self-titled debut album. One of the songs from the album, "Silver Lining," peaked at No.1 on the Billboard Triple A charts.
Mt. Joy's third album, Orange Blood, was released in 2022 featuring the singles "Lemon Tree" (which made the Top 10 on AAA radio and was hailed as a "next-level song" by NPR); "Evergreen"' the title track from the album; and "Bathroom Light." The accompanying music video for "Evergreen" also features a cameo from Creed Bratton from "The Office."
"We put so much love into this album," said Quinn in an interview with uDiscover Music. "My dream for this record is that it gives people a chance to be present and connect with something outside of the daily doom scroll." Catch Mt. Joy when they come to a city near you.

Concert was rad and bringing the Philly fanatic on stage was awesome . Great music
I had very high expectations for Mt Joy to put on a great show and they crushed them!! What a fun show! Love that they took an intermission and played for 2+ hours. They weaved many fun covers into their songs and blended a few of their songs together. Their guitar playing and keyboarding is phenomenal. And they got the Philly Phriggin Phanatic on stage rocking out! The most fun and memorable show I’ve been to in quite some time. Well Done!
The line to get in was ridiculous due to way too deep security review. They took apart every inch of our bags and took my advil! What the heck was that about? Everyone almost missed the show due to this nonsense! No signs of weapons but that wasn't good enough! They had to punish us for having a migraine! Luckily the band was so great they made up for it. Also there are very few restrooms! Not nearly enough!
We loved the show! Mt. Joy has great music and do a great show live too
Such an amazing band at a beautiful venue. I actually love that they were the only ones who played (no opening act) - straight to the point and who we came to see. Somehow even the $26 drinks didn’t get me down and they were at least tasty and strong.
Firefly distillery has a great venue for music but the parking and traffic before and especially after is horrible. Be aware. Also there is no lighting on the sidewalks leaving firefly.
What a glorious night super harvest full moon as a back drop to just ab absolute clear sounding show majestic weather and great people
The music experience was so great I don’t have words! One of the better concerts I’ve been to. The sound and lighting were spot on. It was an immersive experience. The Amenities are clean and beautiful. Spacious and accommodating.
whattttttt!!!! This was their best show yet. So many long riffs. Incredibly engaging, played for a long time, just awesome
