Having recently completed another successful run with Pixies and Cat Power, Modest Mouse continues to prove themselves to be one of the most consistent live acts today. Modest Mouse released their highly anticipated new album, The Golden Casket, on June 25, 2021 via Epic Records. The Golden Casket heralds another new chapter in the GRAMMY? Award-nominated multi platinum band's unpredictable evolution. Produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and in Modest Mouse's studio in Portland, the album hovers in the liminal space between raw punk power and experimental studio science, frontman Isaac Brock explores themes ranging from the degradation of our psychic landscapes and invisible technology, to fatherhood. The twelve tracks behave like amorphous organisms, undergoing dramatic mutations and mood swings that speak to the chronic tug-of-war between hope and despair that plays out in Brock's head.

Saw them earlier this year at fiddlers green, CO and they were off the chain. Issac Brock has gotten old but his voice is still really good and he seems to be really taking care of and enjoying himself. Some of his performances over the past years have been kinda rough live but it seems Issac has really stepped up and given more thought and consideration into his performance. One of the best surprises about the show was a cover of the cure’s a forest which was stellar to say the least. One of my favorite concerts of the past couple years and really look forward to see them again. The 3.5 score on here is no longer accurate.
They played 18 song and it was better than the the studio and because of how good it was made me want to play guitar so now I'm practicing thank you Isaac Brock.
big fan of this band, so energetic, and i personally do not think they have a single bad song! if you like alt rock or really alternative in general, this band should be in that playlist
Truckers Atlas was worth the price of admission. Wish it was longer. Hope they tour again and headline, they've got a lot of great cuts.
The band is legendary. Do yourself a favor and go check them out at least once if you’re in the fence.
Every song they played got better and better. Arguably the best time I saw them. Been a fan ever since I heard them on a foundation skate video
I was so excited that Modest Mouse was playing at a small local venue. I have been listening to them for the last 15 years and this was my first time seeing them. Unfortunately the sound was so off that the vocals were nearly impossible to hear. Hope the Rialto gets better at their sound management before I go to my next show there.
Go see this show! It was one of the best concert experiences of my life. So intense and driven, so much energy, and so much love for the crowd. I can't recommend them enough as a live act.
The best there is. They got the most hits in the best songs that was ever made. Lyrical, genius is musician of geniuses.
ISSAC and the boys were on point. Great mix of classics and new material. Hartford Healthcare Arena is an ideal venue to see any band aside from drink prices.
My 9th time seeing my all time favorite band, and they have never disappointed.
Modest Mouse was great. The only issue is that due to a chance of rain (which didn't materialize), an outdoor concert was moved indoors to a venue that couldn't hold everyone. Instead, a Sunday 7 pm show was split into two shows, 7 pm and 10:30 pm, first-come-first-serve on entry. So, there was a long wait to get into the venue (line wrapping around multiple blocks). Thankfully we got into the early show, but in the end the concert had to be cut short to flip the crowd for the second show. We actually waited about 75 minutes to get in and then missed most of the (shortened) opening act (Cat Power). Ultimately we saw less than half the music we would have expected. Full price for part of a show? I enjoyed the music but it wasn't really what was advertised.
Been listening to Modest Mouse for 20 plus years and finally getting to see them live was something special. One of the best live shows I've ever had the pleasure of attending. 20/10 would highly recommend seeing MM live if you get the chance.
The show was fantastic. They had to move it inside due to weather but still rocked it
This was the best modest mouse performance I have ever seen. The venue is very small so it felt like you could reach out and touch Isaac. They played two shows back to back. I was at the second show. They brought so much energy.
Opening for Weezer in Michigan, they sounded great. Would have liked to hear some of their newer songs, but I know there’s only so much time for an opening act.
Opening band (guy) was just awful. Modest Mouse went into the encore before playing a hit song.
Modest Mouse was great! The sound quality at GLC Live at 20 Monroe is the best.
Blanket was so bad that people were just laughing in the crowd. Glorified Karaoke. The band played an hour set and an encore. It was as good not great.
