Milwaukee Bucks History
On January 22, 1968, the National Basketball Association awarded a Milwaukee-based franchise to Milwaukee Professional Sports and Services, Inc., a group of investors headed by Wesley D. Pavalon and Marvin L. Fishman. The Bucks struggled through their first season, but immediately turned that around following the selection of Lew Alcindor (who would later go by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) at No. 1 overall in the 1969 NBA Draft. In his second season, Alcindor won the NBA MVP and led the Bucks as they steamrolled through the playoffs. They swept the Baltimore Bullets in the NBA Finals, giving the Bucks a championship in just their third year of existence.
The Bucks were a powerhouse team for the first half of the 1970s, led by Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson. After the departure of Abdul-Jabbar to the Los Angeles Lakers in 1975, the team was in a transition period until head coach Don Nelson came aboard in November 1976. The 1980s saw much success for the Bucks team with the additions of Sidney Moncrief in 1979 and Bob Lanier in 1980. Nelson won NBA Coach of the Year twice during his 11-year tenure with the Bucks while leading the team to seven division titles.
The Bucks struggled throughout the 1990s and 2000s, but the 2010s brought the Bucks to its modern era and coined the start of the iconic "Fear the Deer'' phrase after a playoff win over the Chicago Bulls in 2010. In the 2013 NBA Draft, the Bucks selected Giannis Antetokounmpo as the 15th overall pick and acquired Khris Middleton from the Detroit Pistons. April 16, 2014 marked the beginning of a new era for the NBA franchise, as ownership was transferred to a new group headed by entrepreneurs Marc Lasry and Wes Edens.?
In the 2020–21 season, led by Antetokounmpo, the Bucks capped off a historic year by defeating the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals in 6 games to become NBA Champions for the second time in franchise history.

I had an Awesome time. My seat was amazing and the other Bucks fans was great.
Awesome seats, and a great game. Unfortunately after leading all game the Bucks lost in the last couple of minutes!
Attended my first Bucks game. Fiserv Forum is a wonderful venue. Sat in the upper level and the seats were nice for the price. (Next time I will get tickets in the lower level, better chance of snagging a t-shirt or whatever they are tossing out.) Love the entertainment on the court during timeouts, so much to keep a person entertained. Will skip the margarita next time. $20 was a bit much for an alcoholic slushy?? I definitely enjoyed the venue, game, and atmosphere.
Drove in from Green Bay to experience our first NBA game! It was awesome. The entertainment during down times during the game was just fabulous and the win at the end made the day!
Very good location. Engaged folks. Good entertainment program.
The staff was cool and friendly. The game was great. It was my son's birthday. He said that it was the best birthday ever ??
I purchased Bucks tickets for family members Christmas gift. I was unable to share or forward these electronic tickets. It was messy & the work around was to share my Ticketmaster credentials in order for recipients to obtain. This is a major technology failure on Ticketmaster's behalf. Please fix this issue!
It was great to be at Fiserv Forum. It was the first time. But very disappointed that so many starters were not playing. They get payed big money to play a game and for so many not to be playing in one night was a huge bummer. Not sure if I would pay to come to another game because of that.
Even though the Bucks did not play Giannis, Jrue, or Kris it was an awesome competition. I enjoy seeing some of the other guys like Beauchamp, Carter, Green, Engles, and more. They just didn't make the baskets. It is how the ball bounces.
Took my grandchildren (ages 4, 7, 10 & 11) as part of their Christmas present & they absolutely loved it. Our seats were high up, but our view was amazing & we were still part of all the give aways (T-shirts, balls, etc…). They entertained us during breaks & time outs & the bucks win was the best. My grandchildren said over & over again “Thanks so much for taking me.” It is an awesome memory that will far outlast any toys! I would highly recommend attending a game.
Great game, great seats. Not pleased that all food is ordered through QR codes.
easy to use. simple & efficient, can’t ask for more!
Fiserv Forum is awesome! Beautiful stadium, clean, friendly staff, great energy. Go Bucks!!
Seat rolls are way to close together.... sodalitey no leg room, we have to sit cramped up especially for taller (6ft tall) people. Then when others want to leave row you have to stand to allow them through and that is uncomfortable as no room and they are rubbing on you as they pass by.
Started when I was stopped at security because of the small flashlight on my key chain which I have for my personal safety. Where is it published that this is not allowed. What happened to the wonderful dance team? This woke nonsense is ruining the fun. Not sure I’ll be back.
This game was on fire and Giannis Antetokounmpo is a beast in the best possible way!!!!
Being from the UK we were unable to order food from multiple vendors as we didn’t have a US number and being someone who doesn’t eat meat, the options were very limited for the stalls that did offer payment without QR codes. I was very disappointed and it made us feel unwelcome, I’m sure you have people from abroad coming to these games often so I’m surprised this was an oversight when creating these options. Will be eating before hand if I ever decide to come back to this venue.
We enjoyed the game. Parking was easy and getting into the stadium was less than 5 minutes. Appreciate your recommendation for parking garage??.
We all were excited to be attending our first NBA game. The Bucks continued their unbeaten streak at 9-0 but overall two things we all found to be very annoying. We're huge Big Ten Men's and Women's Basketball fans (Iowa Hawkeyes), but as play continued, we noticed that the music never stopped playing during game play. I heard shoes squeak once through all the noise, and not one whistle. Sure, we were sitting up high, but why can't fans just sit back and take in the contest? Also, we had the misfortune of having a large group of 8 or so 20-somethings continually cross back and forth across our seats as they went for beverages, bathrooms, etc. This was non-stop and with 3 minutes left to go in the contest I was literally ready to leave. Not sure when we'll be going back.
It was a great game, fun stuff during time outs and halftime, but the food and drinks are way too expensive...for 3 pretzels, 2 sodas and 1 beer cost me just over 50 dollars!! And it amazes me you dont sell one Miller product.....this is milwaukee correct? Atleast at brewer games you are allowed to bring in snacks and a bottle of water...
