METALACHI IN CONCERT:
As “the world’s first and only heavy metal mariachi band”, Metalachi offers ticket buyers a wild, over-the-top live show unlike any other. Taking the stage with the long hair, adrenaline-filled energy, and outrageous theatricality of a typical metal band, Metalachi puts a unique spin on the experience by adding the passionate emotion, danceable rhythms, and virtuosic musicianship of mariachi. Their commitment to showmanship includes outlandish costumes, audience participation, and plenty of humor between songs, and the result is an unforgettable night of heightened senses and lowered inhibitions. By using traditional mariachi instruments to cover hard-rocking classics like Judas Priest’s “Breaking the Law” and Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, Metalachi serve up a sound that is at once familiar and exotic. All this and more make Metalachi’s off-the-wall live shows a totally unique experience that fans of any genre will remember long after the encore is over.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Metalachi formed in Mexico in the early ‘10s and originally performed straight-up mariachi music before their love of Black Sabbath led them to start playing metal covers. Instead of using electric instruments they stuck with a traditional mariachi set-up, adding a unique Latin flair to metal and hard rock classics like “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses and “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne. Their singular sound earned them a loyal following, leading to extensive touring throughout the US. In 2012 they released their debut album Uno, and in 2013 they impressed audiences with a rowdy performance at SXSW in Austin. Since then they’ve continued to tour tirelessly, setting high hopes among fans for their highly anticipated sophomore album.

Awesome show, really fun band. Great music, good jokes, a blast and I will definitely go again!! You should check them out too.
What could be better?! Hair Metal music and Mariachi music entwined together of course. You get to watch a comedy show and some great musicians having fun! Be prepared to dance and smile a lot!
Metalachi delivered. From their stage presence to the music they are the total entertainment package. If you grew up in the 80’s and love metal music then this band is for you. I loved their humor and song selection. As must see for a fun night.
Had the best time Metalachi was brilliant I will definitely see them again.
I have never seen Metalachi before, and I've heard good things about them. I finally saw them and they were great! I would recommend this show if you like rock and metal songs, but with a Mexican music twist, and with a lot of comedy. They are like a Mexican-American version of Steel Panther.
Any fans of Metalachi, please be warned… THIS so called band is “by name only”. The original members of Metalachi are spectacular. This is NOT them. Don’t waste your money on these guys. If want to see a real performance by the actual founding members, lookup “Outlaw Mariachi”. You won’t be disappointed!!!
Venue was very accommodating for my handicapped friend. Metalachi was incredible. Every member’s performance was thoroughly enjoyable but Vera the violinist was simply amazing!
Great show from start to finish! A few members have changed but they rocked the house. The Observatory is a great place to see shows because you’re right up close to the action! Metalachi rules!
Wife and I brought 2 other couples who had never heard of Metalachi. Everyone had a great time. Singing along, dancing, screaming. It pretty sweet. I would totally recommend it.
