This tribute to founding conductor, Dingwall Fleary, was well-planned & executed by the two conductors & the two symphony orchestra's many musicians. It was a moving celebration of Maestro Fleary's gift to our 2 communities: McLean & Reston.
Great concert - the McLean Symphony Orchestra is a delightful community orchestra that’s well worth seeing.
Amazing to see two orchestras totaling 97 people in a beautiful venue. Great location, great concert! Would like to see this (local orchestras) perform here more often!!
The collection of songs played by the symphony was put to gether to create a timeline, and accomplished it's mission of moving one's soul.
Wow. What a Beautiful and Meaningful evening. Maestro Fleary was at his Best and every dignitary on the planet was there to wish him well. Fifty (50!) years ago Fleary founded this symphony and it has been providing musical Splendor every since. Congratulations to a fine musician and a Fine Man!
This is the first time I attended a McLean Symphony event. The concert itself was very nice, and especially enjoyable to hear new compositions as well as a spectacular finale by a blind pianist who also sang. The reason for less than five stars is my first experience with Ticketmaster. The process is complicated and convoluted. Whatever happened to just being able to print out a ticket. And, the other bizarre thing was after paying to park in the garage in the building where the concert was being held, you had to leave your car and go OUTSIDE of the garage onto the street and walk half way around the building to a different entrance to access the concert hall from the street! Fortunately, the weather was benign, but the notion that people would get dressed up for a nice event and then upon leaving their car have to walk outside in, let's say, a soaking rain, to reenter the building as though they were pedestrians is utterly absurd. Can you imagine, people who parked INSIDE the building walking into the concert hall with umbrellas and raincoats, or in the case of winter weather, snow boots? There has to be a fix to that bizarre arrangement.
Great venue except for the parking. Tremendous show! Especially the encore. Sounded like Placido Domingo in all his greatness. Keep up the great work.
