With 2013’s Monster in the Closet, pop punkers Mayday Parade scored their first Top 10 album on the Billboard 200 and earned praise for what critics called their most emotionally accessible release to date. Drawing comparisons to Queen for its intricate vocal harmonies and guitar work, Monsters deals with life’s big diary-worthy questions on anthemic singles “Ghosts” and “Girls,” while exploring new territory on the country-influenced “Angels” and piano ballad “Even Robots Need Blankets.” Hailing from Tallahassee, Florida, the band recorded their 2007 debut before they’d even selected a band name. After settling on Mayday Parade, they went on to release Anywhere But Here in 2009 and a self-titled third album in 2011. The band earned rave reviews for their live concerts on the 2013 Glamour Kills Tour, impressing ticket buyers with their flawless precision and their generous sets featuring both old and new songs.
i had never heard of them before louder than life but they were good my friend really loved them and who showed me them
Simply the best show I've experienced. I wept from pure emotional overload in the best way possible.
Just phenomenal. I’ve seen mayday parade multiple times now and these guys kill it every single time. No auto tune or highly produced music, just talented performers who clearly enjoy what they’re doing and give it 100% every time they’re on stage. Vocals and harmonies give me the chills!
They get better and better every single time I see them. Absolutely amazing
First time getting to see them live and they were amazing! Must see as a headliner next time!
Amazing venue, amazing artists. Can’t get any better than up close and personal with your favorite bands. One of my favorite venues, always affordable, always a good time.
I was drunk and got separated from my friends, I was dressed provocative and I have a video where I was just recording the show and singing along (not causing trouble at all) and a bouncer comes up and kicks me out. I later got in a car accident and hurt myself. I would not have been hurt had I not been kicked out for no reason. And I don’t know what happened between getting kicked out and getting to the car (alone) so I don’t recommend going to paradise rock club at all if you’re a female.
This was the first concert I have ever been too, I absolutely love mayday parade and thought their show was incredible! I was blown away for sure.
I loved every minute of this concert. Mayday Parade put on a great show! And so did the supporting acts, Magnolia Park and Real Friends.
I love Mayday Parade. Great stage presence. Awesome concert.
