MAX FROST IN CONCERT:
?
Austin native Max Frost combines elements of hip hop, soul, and blues rock to achieve an eclectic indie pop sound that transcends its influences. Frost has been performing since he was 12 and his confidence on stage is immediately apparent at his live shows, where he hammers out sharp riffs on his electric guitar and delivers his fiery vocals with effortless style. His retro guitar tones and bluesy vocals give high-energy tracks like “White Lies” and “Paranoia” an irresistible vintage hue, but Frost's songs remain decidedly current thanks to slick production techniques and the incorporation of modern elements from R&B, hip hop, Top 40 pop. Taken as a whole, Frost’s sound is both a blast from the past and a blueprint for the future, and ticket buyers at his live performances can’t help but love the classic-meets-cutting-edge vibe.?

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Max Frost began playing music at age eight, and by his teens he was playing in bands and collaborating with Austin music scene notables like rocker Bob Schneider and hip hop producer Kydd. Inspired by R&B and neo soul musicians like D’Angelo and Erykah Badu, Frost started incorporating modern beats into his retro-rock sound. After dropping out of the University of Texas-Austin to pursue music full time, he scored a breakthrough in 2013 with the single “White Lies”, which reached No. 1 on The Hype Machine and led to a deal with Atlantic Records. He made his debut on the label in late 2013 with the EP Low High Low, a critically acclaimed effort that catapulted “White Lies” to the Top 40 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs chart. A wicked talent with a fresh sound and songwriting chops for days, Frost has fans waiting with bated breath for his hotly anticipated full-length debut.
Amazing to hear and see Max Frost live at a great venue.
Max performed Some of his old stuff and five new songs on his new LP - “Head in the Clouds”. The new music is excellent! This guy just gets better and better everytime he comes out with new tunes. He is so fun to watch and sing along with. Fantastic performer!
Never seen anything like this guy. His talent is just mind blowing. Hell of a front man, sound engineer, singer, drummer. Like how is this guy not massive already?
What an amazing show!! Max Frost is great!! Great Venue and awesome performances.
Fantastic show! Max Frost is massively talented and everyone was so energized by him. The opening band, Swells, was also great, and really set the tone for an energetic, fun concert experience.
This was not the 1st time I have seen Max live. In fact it was the 4th time so I can tell you for sure Max is an ANIMAL live! It doesn't matter if he is opening up for Twenty One Pilots in the Forum or playing in a bathroom stall at a freeway rest stop...he is a live concert machine. He knows how to energize and "activate" the crowd. He plays every single instrument with emotion and attitude and the man is an athlete. His patented double leg kick jump is one thing not to miss. Bring the whole family cause Max is a super entertainer and clean fun for any age to learn how to rock, boogie and soul out on the dance floor. See you at the next one!
First time seeing Max Frost but I was pleasantly surprised by his eccentric show. During his show, he genuinely engages with the crowd! I would prefer if, when he gets bigger (because he will), that he gets a band so that he can focus solely on singing and only one or two instruments-- instead of everything! Also, his show only lasted around 50 minutes and that's totally normal for a solo artist (or any really) however he started thirty minutes late (the doors opened at 8, show "starts" at 9, but he didn't come out until 10). However, maybe he started late because there wasn't a lot of people even at around 9:30pm? Not sure.
Max Frost is like playing a tape or computer. The Vanity are musicians..
Amazing show. Never heard of him before I saw him LIVE. He put on an unforgettable show.
Awesome show! Do not miss him when he comes to town. Great song writing and musicianship. Max can do it all!
