Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 13 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally. As one of the most buzzed about comedians in the business, Rife has been selling-out comedy clubs and theaters across the country and is gearing up to embark on his biggest tour to-date with Live Nation, the Matt Rife: ProbleMATTic World Tour, kicking off on July 20th.
Rife brings forth his refreshingly genuine presence along with elevated material that is quick witted and vulnerable. From a small town near Columbus Ohio, Matt started performing at the age of fifteen then moved out to Los Angeles two years later where he began his career in Hollywood.
In addition to stand-up, he made his television debut on MTV's Wild 'N Out as the youngest cast member in history for four seasons before moving on to other MTV properties, such as hosting the reboot of TRL and appearing on The Challenge. Other credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh Off The Boat, BET's North Of The 10, and NBC's comedy competition show Bring The Funny.
In 2021, Rife self-produced and distributed through YouTube his first one-hour comedy special, "Only Fans". This past April, the comedian bet on himself again and self-released his highly anticipated second stand-up special, "Matthew Steven Rife" on YouTube. The special was taped in Austin, TX and is dedicated to his biggest role model, his grandfather Steven who had recently passed. He'll be taping his third stand-up special this fall in Washington, DC.
I would love for you to come to Georgia! I want to go to one of your shows! I absolutely love you!!
I would love it if you would come to Tulsa Oklahoma your one of the funniest comedians I've ever watched your right there with Eddie Griffin
I was on the fence after reading reviews of previous shows. I became a fan after viewing Matt on TikTok. Downtown Nashville was lit, the crowd was lit and Matt knocked it out of the park. I enjoyed the opening acts, the parody "stage walk"video and the energy Matt provided while on stage. His stand up was funny and crowd work was hilarious. He could be brutal and compassionate at the same time. I appreciate his respect for disabled veterans, very classy entertainer. We witnessed a true professional at work. He was able to take 3-4 crowd work scenarios spread out during the course of his show and tie them all together at the end with one "Drop Mic"joke. Great performance Matt. Will definitely go see again!
I think Matt works best in a smaller group setting. With 13K people it was hard for him to interact with the guests. No cell phones or photos or recordings stunk as this was my first time seeing him and would have loved to have had a picture of him.
Matt is so funny, I love ?? how he interacts with his audience!
Went to see Matt Rife. Everything was amazing! My seats next to stage didn't disappoint. Only waited about 15 min. To get in and everything went smoothly. The seat were very close together no room for movement but that was the only downside.
Our tickets were for section 324 row J seats 1 & 2. There is no such seats. It’s just a big concrete pylon. We ended up having to sit on the steps for an hour waiting till everyone was seated and then we finally found two empty seats together. Was a big hassle. We were sold seats that don’t exist.
We came to visit Nashville and decided to get tickets to Matt Rife show. Didn't realize we could've got better seats at a better price on the day of the show instead of buying tickets ahead of time. Our seats were horrible and competing against the booming noise/music from outside made it hard to hear some of what was being said. We will stick to smaller venues.
personally didn't care for the comic that made political comments the other was what his is supposed to do fill time. parking was a mess over an hour to get out of the garage and the guy next to me should have been made to purchase two seats because I could only use a third of mine.
VIP w/parking pass was the way to go for this sick kid. Close parking and early entry into the venue kept me from waiting outside in the heat and long lines. I was able to get to my seat without feeling rushed and could relax before the show. I loved that phones were not allowed during the show!! How rare to actually be present with (most of) those around us. Rife is naturally funny, charismatic and a seemingly all around kind and caring soul. Great show!!
