Worth seeing at least once, …maybe
by Marlene on 4/13/24The Wiltern - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5The concert itself was okay, he has such an amazing voice it’s definitely worth listening to in person at least once. The venue he chose was small but had great sound quality. The crowd was very diverse which brought an amazing atmosphere to the mix. However, he didn’t go on until 9pm, the concert started at 7pm. His intro band didn’t go on until 8, and stopped playing at 8:30pm. The line to get in wrapped around the building so many times, I want to say that’s the reason he probably waited for so long to go on. I however didn’t care for it. I think it’s still ridiculous for someone to have to wait two hours to have a concert start. He stopped playing at 10:13, he did three encore songs and ended his night. He did interact with the crowd throughout the show by making little comments and by playing a small storytelling game where we had to guess which story of his band member was true. He was also very nice and friendly. He brought out a special guest to do a duet cover with him. Overall I do think it was a good show, I just wouldn’t go again if I had to wait another 2 hours.
