Marty Stuart Tickets

These are four stupefyingly-great musicians and singers. Kenny Vaughan is a genius-level guitarist -- just technically flawless. I've never seen ANYbody else do to a 12-string what he did... And Marty Stuart? Whatever you play, or if you sing, I don't care who you are, but Marty can do it better. He's a fine singer, a great showman, a stunningly fine guitarist, and perhaps the finest living mandolin player. Handsome Harry Stinson and Chris Scruggs provide a superb rhythm section, and contribute mightily to the vocal array. I loved the song selection -- as a lifelong Byrds fan, I was overjoyed to hear several songs from their catalog, and the band brought life to classics like "Six Days on the Road"and "Mama Tried". Marty is nothing if not a generous band leader; he gave each member of the band the spotlight to do lead vocals on a couple of songs, and some of those were genuine highlights. Oh, and good grief, can these guys harmonize??? There was an an intimate, acoustic portion of the concert that highlighted their harmonies...Beach Boy-like. I'll just close by saying that the "Fabulous"adjective in the band name is no brag -- just fact. These guys ARR fabulous! No dancers, no smoke or flames, no big light show, no props, no backing musicians...Marty and the band step out and simply overwhelm you with the power of music.

Marty never disappoints. Great sound, set list, and report with his audience. Fantastic evening.

Loved the music, it kept me energized! We bought "obstructed view"tickets, so we didn't expect to have a great view. However what we had was very little view. I had to lean over my husband to get a glimpse. But, we will know next time. The Lyric is beautiful and we will go again!

We had the pre-acoustic show beforehand and it was great! The show itself was wonderful. They prohibited the use of cell phones and cameras during the show. To me that was good because some people abuse this and it's extremely distracting. They played a few covers along with some originals. It promptly ended at 9pm. I wish they would've played some more of their own hits and played a little longer for the money spent but it is what it is. They sounded wonderful as always.

Played over an hour snd a half of great old country and rockabilly. Not much chit chat and no breaks. Just played and played. And at the fantastic Lyric Theater. The consummate performer.

Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives put on an outstanding show. They are all incredible musicians. I enjoyed every number that they performed. I had never been to the Civic Theater since the 1960s. The venue was great, and the sound and acoustics were better than normal. I would definitely attend another event there.

This is not your average “ country “ act. Marty has the most talented musicians to back him in a psychedelic surf high lonesome western extravaganza. Then they break it all down to one microphone 4 part harmony all acoustic dream. Do not miss this show.
