Great to hear the old Chicano toons. Band is still good lead by one of the originals Richard Bean. Sorry to hear so many of the others have pasted away Nena one of their best songs and of course along with Suavecito.
Had a great night...the theater was not full so it felt safe, and we were able to dance at our seats or in the front of the theater. The bands were fantastic, and the BAL staff were friendly and helpful. It was just what I needed after the long Covid halt on indoor music.
Malo performed and sounded well. My friend and I had a great time. Glad I went to see them, like old times.
Bands I want to see up close and personal for a guaranteed great show I go to The Cave in Big Bear. Never a let down. Malo is one of those bands. Also We got to meet them after in a private setting WOW! never expected that to happen, I have followed them and enjoyed their music for a very long time and was not going to miss this opportunity especially since Mr Garcia is getting up in years. Perfect is the word I would use to describe how the event was for me....
Malo performed in El Paso Tx 5/18/13 and it was a fabulous show. What can I say Arcelio still has the moves and can get the crowd moving. The band was awesome they never sounded better. I have seen Malo countless times and I can only say they get better and better. Gabe Manzo is unbeleivable on the guitar. If you want a good old fashion concert that will get you rocking Malo will bring this to you. Malo keep on ROCKING your amigo in El Paso
It was excellent! Can't even describe how good they were... what's great about the lil ole Uptown Theatre in Napa is; Every seat is a great seat! Then the bands go out to the lobby and talk to you, sign autographs, it's just wonderful:)
First time seeing them live...Sauvecito has always been a favorite of mine and it was awesome to share that with my Husband..Besides that their music is awesome!!! What a great 2 hour+ show!! And they did autographs and photos after. Love the Napa Uptown!!
Went to see Malo at the Uptown Theatre in Napa, knowing that there would not be a bad seat in the house- great theatre and great sound and visibility for this amazing band. Every song was performed at high energy level and many people were up and dancing more than staying seated. Their sound was very cohesive and really pumped up - great night - LOVED this band.
MALO was just terrific. We enjoyed the show - it brought us back to our high school days. It was great fun. We could destinguish between all the instruments which was very enjoyable. It wasn't too loud with one instrument drowning out another. Good job MALO. The theater is nice too - the seats are comfortable with plenty of leg room. The rows of seating are stepped which makes it real easy to see the performers. The opening act Blanco was far too loud. Because the music was so loud the lead singer had to scream and shout at us. I felt like I was under attack - as though she was protesting something and I was in the dark about what she was saying because it was so muffled. I believe if they controlled the sound level it might be enjoyable - that perhaps she has a nice voice.
Great, great show in a beautiful theatre in Napa. First time seeing Malo and can't believe I haven't done it before. Band members great allow you to talk with them.
