MAJID JORDAN IN CONCERT:
Pop duo Majid Jordan dropped their self-titled debut album in early 2016 to critical and commercial success, cracking the Top 10 on the R&B charts before kicking off their first-ever tour. The Drake protégés have certainly gotten a boost from their relationship with Drizzy, but they hardly needed it – their minimal yet soulful sound stands on its own, drawing listeners in with catchy hooks, slick beats, and painstaking attention to sonic detail. During their first round on the road the pair impressed fans with serious swagger and slayed stages big and small with the one-two punch of Majid Al Maskati's sensual croon and Jordan Ullman's cutting-edge production skills. Drake has an eye for talent, and ticket buyers lucky enough to catch Majid Jordan live will have no trouble seeing why he took them under his wing.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman met in the early '00s while they were studying at the University of Toronto. After bonding over music they started working together in Ullman's dorm room studio, and things instantly clicked. The pair released a mixtape under the moniker Good People, and within 24 hours they had been contacted by Drake's people. After joining the rapper's then-fledgling OVO Sound label the pair co-produced Drake's 2013 chart-topper "Hold On, We're Going Home," and in 2014 they made their debut as Majid Jordan with the OVO-released EP A Place Like This. They followed up with the single "My Love," a collaboration with Drake, and in 2016 they cracked the Top 20 on both the R&B and Hip Hop charts with their self-titled debut album. The record's success drew them out for their first tour, and they've been killing it with next-level performances ever since.

Something that I think there is room for improvement is in terms of the meet and greet, it would be awesome, if the staff shares the group pictures and/or videos in general that were taken on that day. So that we can save and revisit those memories. I suggest that they share it through the mail.

I truly loved my experience! I paid for the VIP experience allowing me to meet and greet them. It was organized well and went without a hitch. I would definitely do it again! :)

by Carde on 12/11/23The Ritz - RaleighMajid Jordan is one of my favorite groups so to finally see them live was special. Majid’s vocal performance was one of the best that I’ve seen live. The record and the live performance sound identical. They performed a lot of the new album, which I love, but performed a lot of my favorites from their previous work. The woman I brought to the show with me was so impressed she downloaded all the albums afterwards. I have no complaints, definitely a night to remember.
