Louisville Cardinals Women’s Basketball History
The University of Louisville Cardinals women’s basketball team kicked off their first season in 1975. Louisville belonged to several conferences, including the Kentucky Women's Intercollegiate Conference and Big East, before becoming a permanent member of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2014. Over the years, the Cardinals have claimed eight regular season conference titles and six conference tournament championships. Among their 25 March Madness appearances, Louisville has advanced to the Final Four four times and placed as the runner-up in the National Championship game twice, in 2009 and 2013. Jeff Walz has coached the Cardinals since 2007.?

Louisville Cardinals at KFC Yum! Center
Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center seats more than 22,000 fans, making it the third-largest college hoops arena in the country. The student section is known as The Ville'ns, and they keep the stadium lively. To juice their homecourt advantage, the Cardinals have made a habit of staging "color" events — "White Outs," "Red Outs" and "Black Outs" — during which fans are encouraged to wear the same color to games.

What a night senior night! They played so great played as a team ! Asia Durr may be the Greatest Cardinal ever! 47 points WOW. I took my 5 year old grandson he watched every second still talking about it the next day. GO CARDS
The seats were amazing! The croud involved and out of their seats. My 1st womens game , and im hooked!!!
The arena is beautiful and easy to navigate. Parking is easy and reasonable for pricing. Lots of restaurants near the arena which was so helpful, as it was FREEZING that night. We did not like the outcome of the game, but all of the Louisville fans around us were very welcoming and helpful, and Coach Walz was so gracious after the game thanking Geno and the Team for coming to Louisville. We had been to Louisville years ago but we would definitely go back now to see more of this great area. Thank you Louisville..............but next time........we win!!
I knew I was going to attend this game, as U Conn has handed Louisville 17 losses (we'd won exactly one game against them in the last 26 years). I bought my ticket early, and was in the lower section. As the game date drew closer, friends of mine were all buying their tickets and landing in the nosebleed section. Word to the wise...........buy early! Best part of course, we WON.
The crowd was electric, and the facility was magnificent. It happened to be a most exciting game which was very important for both teams.
Seats were great. Atmosphere was rocking and the Lady Cards prevailed!!! Great game!!
I took my daughter and her friend to the Louisville/UConn game. The experience was amazing the energy in the YUM centwr was amazing. The concessions were quick and the people were friendly. Bathrooms were continually kept clean. Ushers spoke and asked if you needed help.
My daugther khristanilla's first game and she had a blast from watching game to the half time show and meeting the players and signing at the end if game really great exsperance cant wait to go again!!
I purchased the tickets as a Christmas gift for my husband and 11 year old daughter. We are big U of L fans and our daughter loves and plays basketball. They texted me and said what great seats they had and how fabulous the Yum Center was. We are going as a family in February and look forward to another U of L win.
My wife and I take up to five of our granddaughters to two to three Uof L women’s basketball games each year. We always find great seats, the girls enjoy watching the games and the entertainment throughout the game. The games are great family entertainment at a reasonable price for a family outing.
