Los Angeles Lakers History
The Lakers are one of the most storied franchises in all of sports. They boast 19 conference titles, 33 division titles and 17 NBA Championships. The franchise started in 1947 as the Minneapolis Lakers in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and predated the official founding of the NBA. At the time, the Lakers were a member of the National Basketball League (NBL). They moved to the Basketball Association of America (BAA) prior to the 1948–49 season. After that season, the NBL and BAA merged to form the NBA. The Lakers dominated the newly formed NBA, winning five of the first six NBA Championships.
Two big decisions in 1960 altered the future of the franchise. First, they selected Jerry West with the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft. Then, the franchise moved to Los Angeles in the same offseason, becoming the NBA's first West Coast team. After several trips to the NBA Finals and trading for Wilt Chamberlain, the Lakers won the NBA Championship in 1971–72, an amazing season that included a 33-game win streak, which is still the NBA record for most consecutive wins. West would go on to become a Hall of Famer, and his silhouette is featured as the NBA's logo.
The Lakers' next era of dominance began in 1979, when they selected Earvin "Magic" Johnson with the No. 1 overall pick. Johnson's unrivaled passing ability allowed the Lakers to play with an up-tempo style that became known as "Showtime." Led by Johnson and fellow Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the Lakers won the NBA Championship in Johnson's rookie season and a total of five titles during the '80s.
The Lakers were led to three consecutive titles between 2000 and 2002 by the legendary duo of Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, including a run through the 2000–01 playoffs that saw them lose just one game in four series. The franchise entered a short rebuilding period after trading O'Neal in 2004, but Bryant led the Lakers to three consecutive NBA Finals appearances once again, starting in the 2007–08 season. They lost to the Celtics in their first appearance, but responded by winning the next two championships, the second of which came in seven games against the Celtics.
Following the postponement of the 2019-20 NBA season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team won its most recent NBA Finals in 2020 in the NBA Bubble behind Finals MVP LeBron James and All-Star forward Anthony Davis. In 2023, the Lakers won the inaugural NBA in-season tournament.

It was surreal.. Amazing experience. I'll comeback
It was such an exciting game between the Lakers and the Nuggets. It was historical to watch LeBron James hit his 40,000 point.
It was my first live NBA match that I saw and from the beginning until the very end, everything was so great. There was not a single moment when you felt bored at all. The stadum, the fans and of course the team were awesome. I would highly and definitely recommend to have this experience like me. Without a doubt, buying from ticketmaster was one of the best, the most comfortable and secure way to buy an event ticket.
The cupholders in the 300 level seating are situated in an inconvenient spot and totally unusable. The hole for the cup is placed where your elbow belongs. It would make more sense to install cupholders on the backs of the seats in front of you, as done in most baseball stadiums. And speaking of cups - I ordered a "large"soda at the concession stand that looked more like a small or medium cup, and it cost me $8.99 + tax! Outrageous! What happened to the souvenir cups that Staples used to have? You might pay a little more, but you could get unlimited refills, plus you'd have a keepsake from the game.
First time seeing the Lakers and had such a blast! It was so easy entering Crypto Arena and finding out seats. And best of all, the Lakers won!
Fantastic experience at the Detroit Pistons vs Los Angeles Lakers game. Very well seated and awesome arena. Ticketmaster process went perfectly.
Had a great time at our first Lakers game! The kids had a blast. We enjoyed the action on the court. But what made it even more fun was all the fan participation on the court and on jumbotron. Good fun!
It’s overall an experience for me. However the crypto.com arena staff did have something to improve. While we were queuing in front of the entrance, a staff brought someone with children in front of us and simply said “The line will be slow line as I will bring the guest with children come here.” I think the person in the line would be fine with it if there was a sign stated that the line will be child/elder privilege line. However, even there was people suggesting they can split the person to other line to speed up the process, they still do nothing and make our line super slow and like there was nothing they can do better! And it really kinda ruined the mood.
This was a chance to get together and enjoy a night of basketball fun. We really enjoyed it.
Fantastic experience with Lebron James and company!
Had a great seating at the NBA Game LA Lakers against Dallas Mavericks. Everything went smoothly!
It was an incredible experience! Thanks a lot! Go lakers go!
It was my first Lakers game and I took my dad with me to see them play against the Heats. It was pretty enjoyable despite not being a big sports person and my dad was able to enjoy the game with pretty decent seats!
Great night. Lakers vs Heat, I loved the diversity crowd. Sat in my seat section 210, sat there for the first half. Second half I sat in the suite. Thank you Jaquez family. ??????
The overall experience was great!!! Organized and easy
Our experience was awesome from our arrival, to the entrance to the center and our seats weren't so bad being that we purchased them last minute.
My family and I enjoyed this wonderful experience!! My daughter was asked to cheer the players outside the tunnel!! What a wonderful surprise!! The vibes and stadium were amazing!!!!
Good pre-game entertainment and great arena. Not a bad seat in the place
I’ve been a Laker fan for over four decades, and I finally had the chance to attend a Lakers home game. Our seats were in section 106, which is behind the basket, but we had an excellent viewpoint for the action. And our row (and the row behind us) was all folding chairs, so we had a little more room to spread out and get excited without bumping into people or knocking over drinks, etc. And best of all, the Lakers won! This was my favorite sporting event I’ve ever attended. ????
Best experience. Thank you ticket master Was looking at another app to get my tickets, but when I checked Ticketmaster, it offered the best options and prices for a much greater view.
