Liz Phair’s debut album, Exile in Guyville (1993) was ranked by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest albums of all time. It transformed the Chicago-raised musician into one of the most important singer-songwriters of her generation. Phair went on to earn two Grammy Award nominations and three gold records with Exile in Guyville, Whip-Smart (1994) and Liz Phair (2003), penning the hit songs “Why Can’t I?” and the Grammy-nominated “Supernova.” To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Exile in Guyville, Phair is embarking on the fall’s much-anticipated GUYVILLE TOUR, performing the debut album in its entirety.

Wonderful evening. The Kazoo State Theatre staff is always amazing. Liz put on a great show.
I saw Liz in Cleveland a few days ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. I was general admission and was able to get in the very front. She sang the entire Guyville album (which was amazing) and a few other hits, so needless to say I knew every song. Probably my favorite concert I’ve ever been to if you wanna know the truth. I was even able to snag Liz’s set list that they had taped beneath her feet, as well as a guitar pick. I just gotta say - thank you Liz Phair!!!
Very good concert at a very good venue. Liz Phair played all of her greats plus many more favorites, Her band is very tight and the venue was perfect. I really enjoyed it
Great show. Loved Liz and the video backdrop. Venue let a lot to be desired from ticket price/additional charges, to beer selection and price, to the bathrooms. Seats feel incredibly distant from the stage.
She is a rocker. It would have been nice to have a spotlight on the other band members once. The venue was not what was promoted; dingy. Parking; at your own risk.
The site set the re-sale limit below ticket price. Price gauging is one thing, forcing re-sales below ticket price is wholly unfair.
Liz Phair and her crackerjack band, put on a phenomenal performance of an iconic album Saturday night at Masonic Auditorium. She was in fine voice and full of energy. It was obvious that she was inspired by her adoring fans. The concert was a success, despite being in the venue with the worst acoustics in the city of Cleveland.
Liz Phair created a magical place at the Masonic auditorium, playing all 18 songs from Exile in Guyville plus a few extra to lighten the mood in an welcome encore that started with Supernova and ended with Why Can’t I?. Her candor was fresh in the 90s and stands up today. Opening artist Kate Bollanger was hobbled by bad sound and ethereal mush. No connection with the audience. blondeshell who opened in other cities would have been a more appropriate and appreciated warm up. Thanks for keeping us feeling young.
Loved the show! A slightly modern reinterpretation of her debut & was great to be a bookend to her tour. The Temple was great; as always, it would have been nice for more ADA seating, honestly. (Were only getting older!)
It was so much fun to listen to exile in Guyville in its entirety. Listening to it as a young teenager differs so much as an adult. I appreciate the raw lyrics so much more now that I’m older. Liz put on a fantastic show. I love how she interacted with the audience. You could feel that she was really enjoying being there with the fans. Great venue, great sound, and a stellar nostalgic time.
