Free Handicap Parking
by Niki on 7/9/23It’s Free so Don’t pay for parking if you have a handicap plate or placard. Really! Only place that allows this. Yay! ????????

So happy I purchased the parking pass. It was easy to use and very close!
Great show. Great venue. Buying parking was a waste of money because we had plenty of free parking available that was closer.
Definitely worth the money. Its nice to not have to worry about finding a spot or having your car broken into
I paid $30 for a parking pass for a concert at the Roxian Theater in McKees Rocks, PA near Pittsburgh. Although the parking area was fine and very convenient to the theater, it was not necessary to pay for the pass. There was a free parking lot right next to the paid one, equally close to the theater. As far as I could see, there was no benefit to using the paid parking area vs. the free parking in terms of time, convenience, etc. The only difference is I paid $30 for my space! However, the venue and the concert (Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs) were excellent, and the venue is highly recommended...just not the paid parking.
There was so much free parking right next to the pay lot that there was no need to pay $3. I will keep this in mind for future shows.
I paid more for parking than I did for the show. Other than that no complaints but seems sad that The Band on Stage is valued less than a parking spot
We waited in a line on the road to get into the parking lot that moved at a snails pace whereas the “free” parking had no line or wait to get into the lot. Sure, we were “closer” but those in the free lot were able to exit their cars much faster than us waiting to just enter the lot. We ended up waiting to the very end to leave after the concert because it was the same ridiculous wait, to just leave the lot. Complete waste of money at this venue, which makes me question if I would ever do it again at a different venue.
Unless you really just need to park close (minimum walking) it's not worth it. You appear to get in and out much faster by parking in the free parking area just a little further away.
My husband drove us four hours for the show and we were staying at a nearby hotel. When we arrived at the VIP Lot I spoke with an attendant who was very polite and helpful we explained my husband wanted to wait at the hotel instead of in the parking lot. We were allowed to get dropped off at the gate and he informed my husband what time to return to be able to meet us in the same location after the show. The attendant assured my husband that he himself would be there to make sure that he was available on time. True to his word he was there after the show, gave us a wave as we texted my husband to turn the lights on the truck and he was parked right where the attendant had said he would park him. It took barely 5 minutes to drive out of the sold out lot and barely 5 minutes to drive to our hotel. Absolutely worth every penny!
