Leo Kottke Tickets

i have seen leo several times and he has never disappointed. he is a master at what he does. even with some age on him his technique, his picking hand is still as steady as a freight train. his stories are still fresh and funny and the songs, his songs are still wonderful examples of passion and emotion, happy or sad. as always a pleasure to listen too. the juxtaposition of juilian lage was a comparision of styles , structure and improvisation, both fluid, both very much in the here and the sound very different, but the passion, it was inescapable. was on better, no they were different styles, different structures of playing acoustic guitar. how they were alike? again the passion, the commitment to the final sound and the mastery, craftsmanship or artistry, whichever you fall towards was not a debate worthy of any listener. it was a great evening of music..

Saw Leo about 40 years ago last. Love his songs and his playing. He’s also a very funny and witty guy. His on stage banter is worth the price of admission. Go see him, you’ll love it. Julian Lage is one of the most talented guitarists around and is a perfect opener for Leo. I wished that they would do one song together as an encore

It has taken me 54 years to see this legend in person. I wasn't disappointed. I had always heard that he would start and stop songs to tell a story. He sure did! But that was part of the charm of his performance. He treats the audience as friends/family. But the true magic was actually seeing him perform in his own unique finger-style that made me want to play guitar all those many years ago. There are only two negatives regarding his performance. The first, he didn't play a 12-string guitar at all, even when he performed Pamela Brown. The second negative: no photography or videography. In fairness to performers, I wouldn't want flashes going off in my face and as far as video, I understand copyright violations. But for still photos, modern cameras are capable of excellent low-light photos without using flash. We're all getting older and our memories are like they used to be. At least allow non-flash photography so us old-timers can relive the moment. Thank you Leo. Thank you for all the years of wonderful music.

Third time seeing him. Last time probably 1974 or so. Still so fluent and offbeat with his humor. So many favorites I would have liked to hear, but I only got a few. Loved his subdued version of Corina, Corina. Even though guitar styles have radically changed, it’s still a treat so see it done so beautifully. Bijou theater was lovely!

Leo Kottke never disappoints. A master guitar player and storyteller. Great as usual . I have seen him (and interviewed him) many times over the years . Going to his concert is the best musical therapy. Takes care of my daily problems. This time I took my 25 year old son with me . Who would have thought that “Vaseline Machine Gun” could be our generational bridge?

Leo Kottke plays ALL the parts. Beautiful music. The sound he accomplishes with one guitar is awe inspiring.

Leo is always great but if you get stuck with bad seats you will not be able to see him. Next time we will sit out front under the wide screen.

No flash, no lasers, no backup, no backdrops. Purely talent from one man and his guitar. Life stories, laughter, and beautiful music. SOLID entertainment.

I have listened to Leo for about 5 decades. He is wholly original in style and ever better than I expected live. I will cherish the experience always.

I've been going to see Leo perform since 1980. I will continue to go see him perform as long as possible. I was however a bit disappointed that he did not play the 12 string. Whenever he picked it up in prior performances the audience would always react with approving applause, myself very much included. Hopefully next time I see him play, I hope he devotes playing time to the 12 string. Nobody plays it like he does, nobody!
