KING DIAMOND IN CONCERT:
When it comes to all-out macabre spectacle, few artists can compete with legendary Danish heavy metal icon King Diamond. The revered performer has been honing his diabolical stage persona for four decades, and his highly theatrical live show is the perfect showcase for his incredible falsetto vocals, bludgeoning guitars, and over-the-top showmanship. From his heavily painted black and white makeup to the neon crosses hanging upside-down above the stage, King Diamond's acclaimed tours provide an unforgettable concert experience that fans of full-blown heavy metal extravaganza won't want to miss.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Danish metal legend King Diamond, a.k.a. Kim Bendix Peterson, got his start as a performer in the mid-'70s with the heavy rock outfits Brainstorm and Black Rose. In 1981 he formed the seminal heavy metal group Merciful Fate, which provided a testing ground for the quasi-Satanic persona he had begun developing with his earlier projects. After two acclaimed albums and a world tour the band called it quits, and in 1985 King Diamond launched his solo career with his eponymous band. Their 1986 debut Fatal Portrait cracked the Top 40 in Sweden, enthralling the country's dark metal fans with morbid songs like "Lurking in the Dark" and "Halloween". The band followed up in 1997 with concept album Abigail, which landed on the US Billboard 200 chart and staked the increasingly ambitious, concept-oriented territory they would continue to explore on subsequent releases. With 12 studio albums and nearly as many acclaimed tours under their belt, King Diamond continues to thrill ticket buyers with their no-holds-barred heavy metal mayhem.

Great venue, suites have their own bathroom and bar! Enjoyed the concert!
The venue is outstanding and the parking free and the show was incredible
I'm so disappointed in the way king was playing to his songs in the background. You could hear harmonies from the actual recording. Not live enough.
The venue was very clean including the bathrooms. One thing that I did notice that the staff was very quick to clean up a spill that was on the main walkway in the theater. The only downfall was there was no reentry as a smoker it kind of hindered the mood for the event but other than that it was good.
The show was awesome. Night Demon was good. Overkill rocked the place and King Diamond ; what can I say ? , he's got a lot of expirience and It shows on stage. You can tell that he likes his fans. His music and his singing is unlike any other bands. I really enjoyed my evening. Thank you very much.
The concert was great!!! However the VIP not so great. Waited in long line just to take a quick picture then rushed out. Again, the concert was awesome!!!
Awesome king Diamond show was great Venue great Had a great tine
The King Diamond show was incredible. The Fillmore is a great venue to see a concert. The sound engineers had the sound system dialed in, the mix was perfect. King Diamonds voice was as good as ever and he hit every note as good as he did 20 or 30 years ago. The guitarist and bassist are world class. I myself am a drummer and that dude was incredible, as all of King Diamonds drummers over the years are some of the best in the world. Can’t wait to see them again.
I went with a friend and low expectations since I’m not a fan of falsetto metal. But this show was really fun and worth my money. The stage show was great, with something new King Diamond would offer between each song. The music was amazing and King Diamond himself is a consummate showman. It’s obvious he loves his craft and he loves his fans. I’d go to one of his shows again without hesitation.
I seen Mercyful Fate last year in Cincinnati which was an awesome show, but King Diamond blew me away, the vocals the guitars the drums what a show and the venue was also awesome. King Diamond Rules!
Great show , Great band and Great location ………………………??????
The show was Incredible, the venue was great and the check in was super easy.
This event was incredible! The venue was amazing, security was fast, bathrooms were clean, and concessions were fast and had a nice variety. If you go front row, you are inches from the stage. There is no press pit separating you from the stage, which was cool! We did the stage access VIP package and it was worth every penny! If you have the opportunity to do that, I highly recommend it for King. He was very accommodating and personable, as was Andy Laroche. The mere fact that he offers his time and makes meeting him available to anyone is proof of his generosity. There were some setbacks and schedule changes, but the team handled it well and we were satisfied.
The King Diamond show on October 26th was an Awesome show for sure????Night Demon and Over Kill did not disappoint either.
ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF IT FROM START OF THE CONCERT TO THE CLOSING OF DOOR #9 ENDING
What an amazing show!! We had the opportunity to run into the King as he was getting off his tour bus. What an experience!!! He took pics with us all. The show was worth every penny. He is and always will be an amazing performer.
The stage presence of King Diamond is unmatched in the metal scene, he haves a great setup with performing actresses and virtuous and passionate musicians. The show is very well made, presented, and with a lot of energy. He features one of the best voices in metal music, able to do falsetto with his representative style. Strongly recommended.
King Diamond is my favorite metal singer of all time!! This was the second time I’ve seen him at this venue and he absolutely nailed his performance! The Palace is the best venue in Louisville. As long as King keeps coming back I will keep attending! Stay Heavy
