Kevin Griffin puts on the most audience-interactive, fun, personal performance that I've ever attended! Take every chance you can to see him perform! One of the best singer-songwriters I know... well worth travelling to see him. Also, one of the most down-to-earth, genuine people that I've had the privilege of meeting!! Thanks again!!
This is the third time I have seen Kevin Griffin at this venue and it has exceeded my expectations every time! Kevin is more than a singer/songwriter/guitarist. He is at true entertainer. Not only did he perform great acoustic performances of classic Better Than Ezra favorites (as well as a few deep cuts), but he also did a few covers and a new song that he wrote recently. Kevin kept us laughing the whole concert with his stage hijinks and impressions, as well as lots of audience interaction. One of the best aspects of the concert was the inclusion of Mr. Michael Jerome More, one of the worlds greatest drummers. He and Kevin make a great team and their stage banter is classic. I highly recommend this show for a night of great music, laughs, and entertainment.
I always enjoy Kevin Griffin / BTE shows. My friends and I laughed on the way home that when he sang Mick Jaggers songs he was far sexier than when he sang Bowie. Ah, but variety is the spice of life, and Kevin was as wonderful as ever.
This venue is perfect for Kevin. It was intimate and just felt perfect for him and the kind of set he does solo. But seeing Michael Jerome with him was such a treat! He makes every show unique, which is why I love seeing him play over and over.
Amazing and intimate venue! Would definitely recommend!
Second time for me to see Kevin Griffin, the first time he performed with Better Than Ezra. In both performances it was obvious that he enjoys putting on a show and his energy was contagious. In addition to Better Than Ezra hits, he performed several covers and parts of covers as well as led the audience in singing. Always an entertaining performer.
The Peacock room is a great size to seek Kevin Griffin. Very intimate setting and Kevin's personality is able to fill the room. The concert he is able to deliver with just an acoustic guitar and Michael Jerome is a non-stop mash up of BTE hits (hits to me) with covers sewn into the transitions. I hope he can keep coming to Houston regularly. Only reason not 5-stars is because the drinks at the HoB are criminally overpriced. This is not a NY nightclub. Concert tickets were cheaper than on 12 ounce beer and one cocktail. Have a few before you get in the room or bring a fat stack of cash.
The seating for the venue was what made the experience special. Table of 4. I was able to get a table in front of the stage and meet and greet. My sister and I couldn’t have had a nicer evening and experience.
Its great to watch someone who truly has a passion for what they do. He laughs with the crowd and has a lot of fun. Kevin sounds as good live as he does on the radio.
