The night was amazing. Really enjoyed hearing newcomer Timothy Duncan. He was a talented and charming little man. You could tell he connected with the crowd by the applause he got. Dawn, Rix, EmiSunshine and Brooke Woods were also favorites! From the entertainment to the employees at the venue, everything was wonderful. I would like to note that the security, the individuals working the shops and concessions, the ushers...just all of the staff was gracious and kind. I have never been anywhere that I can say that about every person that I encountered. I think every person should visit the Grand Ole Opry any and every time that they can!
While there was plenty of good bluegrass music at this event, most of the headliners didn't show up. We were waiting for LeeAnn Womak and others. Also the event was overly long. Started at 7 pm and still wasn't over when we left at 1 am. Most of the crowd had left by then.
This was by far one of the best shows we have been to in a long time. It was put together well. So many great major artist and well polished indie artist was simply Amszing . Garth Brooks daughter Allie Colleen was one of the outstanding performers. Good to see Garth and Trisha. David Ball, Ashton Shepherd and Nathan Stanley along with Chuck Albertson stood. Out to my crowd as well. Cheers and congrats to everyone. Hard to pick a favorite. Mindy Miller brought the house down great great job.Mindy. Brooke Woods was also one to watch for in the industry. Band Of Ruhks were extraordinary, Kevin Denny, Billy Droze , Christian Davis, Tommy Brandt and Brandt 2, Jayc Harold. Blue Highway, Cherie Brennan gave us chills with White Dove. The Highway Sisters should have a major deal ,
WOW! What an amazing show with some of the best Bluegrass groups in the Nation! The show started at 7:00 and there was still great groups taking the stage when I left at 12:30 AM!!
Top talent for a great man of music. The talent reminded of what the Opry use to be! Young talent being highlighted!
Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful tribute to an icon was a poorly produced disappointment. Dr. Ralph Stanley deserved better. The first time I've ever attended a show at the Opry and wanted a refund.
Horrible event. Not as advertised. No big names they listed as performing showed up andevent poorly organized. Not a Grand Ole Opry worthy event. Don't waste your money and time.
Everyone that was onstage was simply amazing. There were no artists at all that disappointed us. We were very pleased
Since I did not know who Dr. Stanley was before I bought tickets to this concert, I did research him and found that he was famous for bluegrass music. Fine. Also, I saw that among many of the performers scheduled to appear were Lee Ann Womack and Stella Parton, sister to Dolly, artists that I had heard of. Having never been to Nashville and therefore the Grand Ole Opry, my friends and I thought, therefore, that this would be a good concert for us to go to there. WRONG! What this concert turned out to be was a tribute to Jesus and the Christian religion. Yes, there was the fine playing of a bluegrass band called, "The Outlaws", who were very, very good. But every singer/songwriter sang songs about Jesus and their Christian religion. This is definitely not what I thought this concert to be. Frankly, I was offended. We finally left after 2 1/2 hours. To say that this was a huge disappointment would be correct. Never again will I go to a concert where I was so duped.
