Comedy
The show was a competition of amateur comedians. We found most to be not funny and over the top crude. The host was just as crude and not even a little bit funny. We went with high expectations as we are big fans of Jimmy Kimmel but this event was so disappointing. Next time we will stick with Brad Garrets. The comedians are more seasoned,
It would be a good show if the comedians had a chance to warm up and get a groove going. But as soon as they get into it it’s over, and you are left wondering why you spent money to go see the show in the first place. Although the comedians whose piece wasn’t good you are glad to see leave quickly, the ones who were funny, or had some potential.. left so fast it really just annoys rather than entertain. All I can say is if you like 2 minute or less jokes then this is the show for you.
The headliner Beth Stelling was great as was the bar and wait staff. The comic emcee however was not good. Jokes fell flat and yelled too much and not in the funny Sam Kinneson way. The warm up comics were okay but not that funny either
the comedy acts were not great. it was awkward and uncomfortable, and the comedians kept talking about how they couldn't wait for it to be over.
Only two of the five comedians were Jimmy Kimmel show quality funny. The headliner admitted to being stoned and then got in a verbal dispute with a drunk female in the audience. I am disappointed in myself for spending money on the best seats available. Will not attend another 5:30 Kenan Presents Your Vote. Both of our previous experiences (later evening) at the Comedy Club were great!
Jimmy Kimmel's Comedy Club is an excellent venue to see a comedian. It's small and there is not a bad seat in the house. Me and my son had the opportunity to see Orny Adams up close. Orny was hilarious. I highly recommend seeing Orny Adams in general, and more particularly, at this Comedy Club
The room was not what I expected. It was the size of a classroom. The tables were tiny. They highlight the “host” as though the host is the featured comedian.
no on-site bathrooms, unless seated up front, not a good view. only one bartender trying to service a sold out show... was not the greatest place to see a show.
Liked the last performer, first one not so good. Middle ok.
We went to see John Caparulo on Friday Night. Club is clean and nice and staff is good. John was Hilarious and the opening act was good. The MC that night was atrocious and not funny.
