His shows whether on tv or in person are never disappointing
We loved the show. The 30 minute opening act was great, and Jim Gaffigan was funny as hell. They went straight through, so we were out of there in 1 hour 40 minutes. The $35 for parking at Hershey was the only sucky thing!
As expected, Jim’s performance was awesome. He had all new material and kept the audience engaged and laughing the entire show. I’ve seen Jim’s standup many times on TV and online, but this was my first chance to see him in a live performance and he did not disappoint.
4th row seats, $180 a piece. Seats were beyond uncomfortable. Still aching from them two days later.Jim wasn’t all that funny, really a big let down. These were tickets for my birthday from my wife and it feels like wasted money. The jokes just didn’t hit well. I chuckled at some of it, but was mostly straight faced the entire show. Not to mention his set was only about an hour long. Most other comedy shows I’ve been to last around 2 hours. There was no crowd interaction, he just came on stage, said his unfunny jokes, and abruptly said “that’s all I have” and walked away. My wife and I looked at each other and both said “that’s it?”. Venue-wise I’ve been to Hershey many, many times. This was the most unorganized exit and parking lot experience I’ve ever had! We stood for 10 minutes not moving just getting out of the seating area. Parking lot was a joke, sat over 30 minutes in my spot staring at the same cars in front of me. Horrible experience all around!
No fault of Mr Gaffigan, he was great as always, but the venue and its audio-visual offered much to be desired. Production of the show obviously was focused on numbers and not quality. The large screens were out of focus, the staging felt cheap and unplanned and trying to exit post-show took 45 minutes because there was no traffic staff directing the 1000s of cars. I have to learn to stay home and watch him on Netflix for a lot less money. Thanks, Mr. Gaffigan for the providing us laughter for the hour!
Best show from Jim Gaffigan! My stomach hurt from constant laughing.
After experiencing a woefully disappointing election; I was prepared to be reminded that there is still a lot to laugh about in just living day-to-day. Thanks, Jim, for a great show; even the warm up act was great!
Saw Jim Gaffigan "barely alive tour"in Hershey, PA on 11/8/24. This was our 3rd time seeing Jim Gaffigan at the same venue. We know what to expect when going to an event at the Giant center. Very busy, parking was more expensive than it has been in years past. But as far as the show itself goes. We had great seats. Floor level, 7 rows back. Jim Gaffigan was not his as energetic as times past and the material was not as funny as his older stuff. Unfortunately, I don't remember any of his bits from Fridays show as it wasn't very memorable. Others seemed to laugh a lot, but we didn't audibly laugh the entire show. I am giving it 3 stars because, maybe it was just me, as other seemed to enjoy it. But after seeing Jim Gaffigan live 2 other times in the past, and watching every one of his stand up specials. It was just a disappointment for us. The opening comic wasn't very memorable either. If Jim comes back to town, I will want to go again. Everyone has a bad night, and I'm hoping that was the case. I'm just being honest in my review. Jim Gaffigan is easily a top 3 comedian of all times for us and we see him every time he is in town. That won't change, but I seriously hope it was just a bad showing that will be forgotten about.
The show was great. Jim Gaffigan was engaging and entertaining. Funny and moved right along. Content everyone can relate to at some point in their life. Great show!
He’s been funnier. While we found him amusing, the stillness became a drone after awhile.
Jim was funny in the ways I was expecting from past shows and specials, but this evening it felt like it was lower energy and a shorter show.
Great Show! and the perfect time length. We'll be regulars whenever Jim's around.
Seats were great. Jim is always funny, but seemed a little off this night. Maybe not feeling well? Overall, I enjoyed seeing him.
Show started late which is one of my biggest pet peeves! My time is valuable and I am paying for the entertainment to be on time. The opening act was better than Jim Gaffigan. Jim just seemed to drone on and on. The crowd around was barley laughing either.
I enjoyed the show without a doubt, just felt a bit brief.
For the cost of the ticket it was not even close to worth it. We had great seats and then venue was awesome. 1st comic was about 20 minutes and Jim Gaffigan was about 40 minutes and it was really not that funny. I seen his work before and he basic did the bare minimum contracted work a couple amusing stories but for $100 close seat for a show that didn't even go an hour and a half I could have been more entertained at a movie.
IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKED! I spent over $230 for 2 tickets for date night. The show started 20 min late. The opening comedian was average at best. Gaffigan was supposed to be spectacular and he was actually a dud; he seemed like he was not totally present. I have seen him before and he was good, but not this time; & he 'talked' for about 1 hr? Not many laughs. I want my money back! I will not buy overpriced tickets again for sub par entertainment.
Show started at 7:00. One comedian before Jim Gaffigan came out. The show was over at 8:35.
It was amazingly hilarious. I LOL'd basically the whole show. 10 outta 10 for sure. Definitely would see Jim Gaffigan again!
