The parade was neat, but the organization of the seating was disappointing. There were assigned seats, but when I arrived, someone was sitting in my seat. There were not really any people who knew to guide us to my seat, and we were told different things. One person said sit wherever, and another said we had to sit in our assigned seat. The person sitting in my seat would not move. I believe the proper word is chaos.
I traveled across the country to see my child in the Hollywood Christmas Parade. I bought my ticket a few months ago and was very excited! I get there and there were other people sitting in my seat and they wouldn't move. The worker that was at the grand stands said it was open seating! I told her no it's not, and showed her my ticket. I had traveled with a large group and many others in my group had the same issue with their seats as well. The parade worker was no help and we finally just had to find a seat on bleacher set 1. It was so frustrating that they were doing open seating after I paid for a specific seat!!
The parade itself was great. The issue I had was with the seating. There was no one or no signage to help locate our seats. Once we found our seats, someone was already sitting in it. Apparently, they opened the grandstands up for bystanders and allowed them to use the seats. It was a mess! Luckily, some marines allowed us to sit with them, but it still was not the seat I had chosen nor a seat I would've chosen. For the price, I should have gotten what I wanted, expected and paid for.
Once seated it was a great experience. Would've loved to see more equestrian entries. Background Christmas music was lacking in between takes. The MC's were great. The highlight of our evening was capturing Erik Estrada's attention and gave us a big smile. Being new to California we would love to make it a Christmas tradition to attend each year and bring family and friends along.
We had a great time and really enjoyed the parade. Purchasing grandstand seats was the best decision we made this whole trip. It made watching the parade such a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend it.
Dirty location …homeless camps everywhere. Unsafe with no parking available. Closed roads with heavy congestion. Police very unhelpful and badly managed event. Did not use my seats as parking was miles away and it was poorly lit. Stay home don’t waste your gas or time.
Dont waste your money. The parade was nothing grand.
It is ok... too cold ... need to bring blankets and parade route is too dark other than the red carpet area ... organizers should move this parade to daytime ! The Event is at night ... and not in the safest area in Los Angeles
Great Parade! The personnel: Ticket takers, hospitality, security were friendly, welcoming, & very cooperative & patient.
Such a dissappintment!!! It was such a slow show, most of the time there wasnt even musuc during the parade. It was a waste of time and money. I dont get how was the tickets sold out. I am sure nobody goes there for a second time!!
