HE IS LEGEND IN CONCERT:
?
Since returning from hiatus in 2011, North Carolina metalcore outfit He Is Legend has been a nonstop force of primal screams, face-melting riffs, and hammering drums. Leading the charge at the band’s live shows is frontman Schuylar Croom, whose dynamic voice is an exercise in split personality—one minute he’s Dr. Jekyl, delivering soaring melodies that temper the band’s onslaught with a ray of light, and the next he’s Mr. Hyde, growling with a savage ferocity that hurls the band’s heavy songs into delicious darkness. The band backs him up with scorching guitar riffs and insane technical drumming, and ticket buyers love every second of it, thrashing around to high-octane anthems like “Attack of the Dungeon Witch” and “Everyone I Know Has Fangs” as if the apocalypse had arrived. Fans looking for an adrenaline-fueled mix of jaw-dropping musicianship and sheer unadulterated aggression won’t want to miss He Is Legend any time they kick out their hard-hitting tunes on tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
?
He Is Legend was formed in 2003 by a group of Wilmington, NC friends who had been playing in bands together since high school. They signed with Solid State Records on the strength of their first EP 91025, and in 2004 they released their debut album I Am Hollywood. After nearly two years of heavy touring, they followed up with their 2006 sophomore album Suck Out the Poison, an acclaimed effort that landed on the Billboard 200 and sent them out for the Peanut Butt Tour ’07. The band’s next chapter began in 2008 when they retreated to the forest surrounding their North Carolina studio for a musical sabbatical. The result was 2009’s It Hates You, a critical success that once again landed the band on the Billboard 200. Internal pressures led to an indefinite hiatus shortly after the record’s release, but He Is Legend made a triumphant return to the stage in 2011 for a hometown show at the Satellite Bar and Lounge. After several years of sporadic performances the band returned to the studio for 2014’s Heavy Fruit, a decibel-shattering collection of epic metalcore anthems that forms a perfect addition to their powerful live shows.

It was an amazing show! I never miss He Is Legend when they come to town!
Been a He is Legend fan since day one. I’ve seen them quite a few times. I got the VIP package and the meet and greet time on the actual ticket was wrong. So paid an extra 120$ (60 each) for no reason. Was one of the most heart breaking moments of my whole life. Favorite band, and was given the wrong time frame. Nothing was done. I was fairly vocal about it too. I’ll literally never purchase another VIP package for any other show again because of this. It truly broke my heart.
Seriously the best concert i've ever been to. He Is Legend put on an amazing show and the crowd responded appropriately. I don't think there was a second that the entire venue wasn't singing along.
this album and tour means the world to me and to be able to see it live was truly incredible -schuylar was on fire for the first show. Matty, Jesse and Chris also smashed crazy. The ode to like a prayer was such an Easter egg what a gem. just so much yes.
Absolutely killer band to see live. The singer is very energetic and engaging. Their live music sounds just as good as their recorded music. Truly an amazing band.
HIL is at the top of their game. Greyhaven was really good too.
The opening bands were great but He Is Legend rocked the house like I knew they would! Long time fan but first time seeing them and I will not miss a show when they come to my town again! Thanks for an amazing show Schuylar and the rest of the band!
Very impressed with their performance! I haven't seen them in three years, and they were spot on. He is Legend did some different renditions of their songs and jammed out as well. I can't wait to see them at a better venue. I think the crocodile roc sold them short on time. Overall Awsome \m/
