Hans Zimmer retains his crown as one of the greatest Hollywood composers of all time, creating epic, memorable scores for some of the biggest and most acclaimed films released every year. Those who buy tickets to the films he scores - or the lucky few who may see him on a concert tour - are swept up in an astonishingly diverse and captivating wall of sound, encompassing a wide range of influences. Everything from electronica to world music and orchestral sounds are included in Zimmer's fascinating soundtracks, succinctly capturing the environment and themes of the films he works on. In 2014, Zimmer's score for Ridley Scott’s acclaimed 2000 epic Gladiator will be presented live in concert for the first time in the UK, performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra and Philharmonia Chorus conducted by Justin Freer.
Zimmer, a native of Germany, worked in the new-wave music scene of the 1980s before moving into music composition for film. After scoring music for the Oscar-winning Best Pictures "The Last Emperor," "Driving Miss Daisy" and "Rain Man," he found wide acclaim and success with his memorable score to the children's favorite "The Lion King" and the action blockbuster "Crimson Tide." The 2000s saw him work on even bigger films, including the four "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, "The Da Vinci Code" and "Sherlock Holmes." Perhaps his most popular modern work, though, is his work with director Christopher Nolan; Zimmer has scored the three "Batman" movies and the Academy Award-nominated Leonardo DiCaprio flick "Inception." Zimmer picked up the biggest and brightest award in the composing universe in 1995, winning an Academy Award for his score to "The Lion King." He won a Golden Globe and two Grammy awards for the same score, and picked up another Golden Globe in 2001 for his "Gladiator" soundtrack. Zimmer has also received Oscar nominations for his work on the films "Inception," "Sherlock Holmes" and "The Prince of Egypt." With a sterling list of credits and more high-profile work coming in 2014, including the "Amazing Spider-Man" sequel and Nolan's "Interstellar," Zimmer's sounds are sure to entertain moviegoers everywhere for years to come.

Wonderful experience! Once in a lifetime show I hope to experience again.
Just wow. This show was absolutely amazing!! I always wanted to see Hans Zimmer live and I’m so grateful that I got the opportunity to experience his amazing talent live. The orchestra was absolutely incredible and perfect. 2 thumbs way up!!
Between the music, the production and the level of talent from all of the musicians was just astounding. We were witness to an incredible night of entertainment. He said that it would be his last show in America, we hope not!!!!
We enjoyed the Hans Zimmer concert It was an amazing show. All the musicians were excellent and entertaining. Those ladies can really sing. We would go see him in a heartbeat again.
Hans Zimmer was amazing!! 3 hours few by and I didn’t want it to end. I would go every opportunity I had. Thank you!!
This show was not for the feint of heart. From the very first notes this concert is an immersive experience. I have seen The Who, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Bruce, Bon Jovi, Elton, Billy Joel and dozens more of the world's best entertainers and none of them touched this experience. The musicians backing Zimmer are phenomenally talented people. I waited years to see this show and now hope that Zimmer goes back on tour again in a year or two. Youtube videos do not do the show justice, spend the money and live this experience.
Bucket list and once in a lifetime experience for me and my son.
What an amazing show. Watching Hans Zimmer and his spectacular orchestra/singers perform his soundtrack hits was better than I imagined. A showcase of such talented musicians and singers. It was a three hour show plus 20min intermission.
Hans and his ensemble were incredibly good. Like so, so good. There so many moments that I felt completely in awe by the sheer talent that was on full display. From the magnificent musicians and singers to the thought and care of the stage production -- every suite played was superb. Both Interstellar and The Lion King suites overwhelmed me the point of tears! And it wasn't just me, there were a few around me that felt the power and beauty to which I heard a few crying sniffles and seen a few tissues here and there. But what really got me was just the way that Hans highlighted those around him. To me that was such a telling and inspiring thing to see someone in his position of prominence in the film composer industry uplifting others. It was wonderful to see and it was a reminder that music is universal and shared between everyone. I'm happy that Hans and the crew were able to come back to Baltimore after the unfortunate cancellation. It was an incredible, unforgettable experience and I hope to attend another in the future!
Absolutely incredible, the best concert I have ever gone to.
An INCREDIBLE show filled with unbelievably talented musicians, fantastic light shows, and soul-shaking songs. 3 hours felt like 30 minutes. In one word: EPIC.
Hans Zimmer Live was, without a doubt, the best concert or live performance I have ever seen. Nothing else is even close.
So much talent! We had a great experience and really enjoyed the concert. Hans Zimmer is so personable and a great storyteller and musician.
I've been lucky enough to see dozens of concerts in my life, but this one will always be one of my favorites. The music was exquisite (not that there was ever any doubt that it would be), but I found myself blown away by the orchestra, the vocalists, the dancers, and the performances. It was truly unlike anything I had ever seen before. I shed a few tears, I laughed at Hans' jokes, and I sat and listened to some of the most masterfully crafted music I've ever heard. If Hans decides to tour in the USA again, I will absolutely be going again!
This was a great show!! We didn’t want to spend an absurd amount on tickets, so we sat in section 204. I was worried about the sound being too quiet or too loud up there, but no issues with sound or quality there. I think it’s safe to say that any seat would be great for sound. If I had a negative comment it would be that the railing is in your view of the stage in the first few rows up there and since you are on the side of the stage you had to have your neck turned the whole time to see the stage. If I had a redo I would spend more money to be facing forward somewhere else. Overall great experience still!
Wow What a show. The musicians are very best of craft. Bravo Hana.
This is a must see show, I wish I could see it again. If you are a Hans Zimmer fan you won't be disappointed, it was mesmerizing from the beginning to the end. The light shows, the background screens, and his full engagement with the audience told the story for every song. He has a full Orchestra on stage, and from the stories he told the audience many of the musicians playing have been with him for decades. Bottom line, this is one of the most magical shows I've ever seen. If I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity to see him again, I definitely will. The only thing I would do differently next time is make sure I get front row and center seats.
Amazing music, beautiful light show. Each piece is unique and perfectly done. This was my second time seeing the production, and it was just as good as the first.
This was well worth the wait and one of the best concert experiences of my life. I hope to be able to see these incredible musicians in person again soon!
First off, Hans Zimmer and his team of talented musicians and vocalists were fantastic! 5/5 stars for the performers. No question there. However, as for the venue itself, a few issues: 1. The tickets online were not clearly marked as “Floor Seats”. Having people yell at you when you arrive that you entered the wrong door is a terrible first impression. 2. There was zero signage at every point. Make it clearer which door to enter and which ramp to use for the given section. Entering was a fiasco and felt like being harrassed by the TSA at the airport. Unreal. 3. Don’t use chalk to mark the seat rows. Use painters tape or something that doesn’t fade off. 4. Spread out the seats! Seats were way too close together and were way too close to the row in front of you. People could not get up, or even take their coats off. Very uncomfortable seating in floor section. 5. The screen monitor above the stage was flashing on the right side of the screen for part of the show. Looked like a loose cable on the monitor.
