The Echo was a great live music venue before being purchased by Live Nation. Live Nation kept many of the cool staff, kept the feel of the place & left the great sound system in place. Good job in understanding what made that venue as popular as it was & for not making many ridiculous changes. The drink prices for a venue in Echo Park are over the top though. Thirteen dollars for a pint of beer = fifteen dollars with tip is something most of us simply cannot afford. It also is well above what is charged at all similar venues in the area. My friends & I who had a couple of drinks at earlier shows there this year just will not buy drinks there now.
