Geese is a band that begins and ends in Brooklyn, as a project between friends to build a home studio out of a basement. Their debut album, Projector, is born from the same ambition: make music by any means necessary. The songs were recorded with sneakers as mic stands and blankets draped over the amps, all within the afternoon following a school day, up until they ran the risk of noise complaints. As a result, Projector is as much a moment in time as it is an album. It represents five teenagers whose love of music touches every part of their lives: their restless anxiety about their futures, and their pent-up frustration with their present - a perspective all too familiar in today’s uncertain world. Perhaps then it only makes sense that the figure on the album cover was born from a dream: curiously alien, yet strangely familiar.
What an amazing band!! They have such a unique sound and great vibe. I was really impressed. Thanks for the show people!
First time I've seen Geese and definitely NOT THE LAST! I cannot express how badass these guys are! If you love music...YOU WILL HANDS DOWN LOVE GEESE! I can't say enough about their sound. A stand alone band...100%! My heart is full now!
They were amazing, I love finding new bands that know how to rock out! They did really good headlining for Greta! I would love to see them again!
Best new band in 20 years put on the best show I've seen in at least that. These kids are awesome. Do yourself a favor and go see them.
I've seen Geese a few times and have their albums. The Brooklyn show was sold out and they NEVER sounded so tight or better!!! Check them out!!!
What a likable band. This is my 4th time seeing this young band. They play a quirky brand of rock that's not only catchy but quite likable. Ist time at the Foundry, great venue.
Geese were incredible. I’d been waiting nearly two years to see them and they were beyond worth it. The talent of these kids is insane. The venue itself could have used better sound engineers - or perhaps a more engaged sound team. Various band members had to keep asking for adjustments to their levels, and it wasn’t until the 4th or 5th song before I could finally hear the guitar player clearly (a travesty because his parts add so much to the songs and he’s a terrific player). There was some terrible feedback that lasted too long, and I know it was on the sound guys because I was watching them when it happened. I expected better from HoB, even if it was only the Voodoo Room, tbh, sonically anyway. I suspect that the room could sound better and it didn’t quite rise to the level of Geese’s technical prowess as a band. Still, it was a great show, the security and bar staff were lovely, and I bet next time they come to San Diego, they’ll be playing the main stage or a bigger venue altogether. I can’t wait to see them again, anywhere.
Saw them when they opened for Jack White and they absolutely killed it!! Looking forward to going to more of their shows in the future :)
Geese has got it so together! The energy at the show was amazing!!!!
