With over 25 years in comedy, Gary Gulman has established himself as an eminent performer and peerless writer. It’s no wonder the New York Times wrote, “Gary is finally being recognized as one of the country’s strongest comedians.”
A product of Boston, Gulman has been a scholarship college football player, an accountant, and a high school teacher. He has made countless television appearances as both a comedian and an actor and is one of only a handful of comedians to perform on every single late-night comedy program.
Gulman has made four successful TV specials including his most recent critically acclaimed stand-up special for HBO, The Great Depresh, a tour de force look at mental illness, which is equal parts hilarious and inspiring. In 2019 he appeared in the international blockbuster Joker. He will next be seen co-starring with Amy Schumer in the upcoming Hulu comedy series, Life & Beth, and is currently writing a memoir for Flatiron Books, tentatively titled K Through 12.

Gilman is awesome. Fun to hear him trying new material, great storyteller, hilarious.
Gary Gulman is truly one of the most intellectually accomplished comedians out there. I’m not just saying that Bev he’s insecure, I’m saying that because there just aren’t many cerebral comedians. Lol but even if there were lots of them, Gary would be the best.
We first saw Gary in Montreal, where he was part of the comedy festival. This was the first time we have seen his full show. Totally new material. His delivery is so friendly and compelling. And while relaxed and natural, he had it all worked out. He also sold me on getting his book, since he said it was totally different material.
I have loved watching Gary on HBO and social media clips for a while now, so I was excited to go to his concert. Even though I’m a college graduate, about a third of the jokes, went over my head, because he was focused on proving his intelligence by using a wide range of 10-letter words. Then another 1/3 of the act went over my head because I had no background in Hebrew school so I didn’t get most of the references.
Great show! All new material! My friend and I were laughing out loud the whole time!
Love Gary Gulman but this show was average at best. Totally did not appreciate Gary’s political comments. He didn’t dwell on them and the remarks were fairly brief; but politics don’t belong in entertainment. That aside, the last bit was so funny (Jesus and apostles). The rest, not so much. I don’t think I will buy tickets to another Gary Gulman performance.
I have been a Gulman fan since his last comic standing appearance and have seen him perform many times over the years. As many know, he took time off to deal with a mental health issue. I am very glad he is back and in excellent form. I appreciate comedians that you can take the entire family to. His material is topical and shows that he has a good moral compass. The show is very funny and I highly recommend it.
Gary Gulman was pretty good. He had some obscure cultural references that fell flat but over all a good performance. The opening acts was so terrible that I had second hand embarrassment. It was an older crowd and she unfunnily off color. It just didn't fit the audience.
Gary Gulman put on a hilarious, incredibly interesting and mind-bending show. He never paused for a second. My husband and I spent the entire car ride home rehashing all his bits. Such a smart guy and endearing to the entire crowd. Humble and self depricating. Laughed for 90 minutes straight.
