Ethan Bortnick is a classically trained pianist and songwriter who first discovered his phenomenal musical talent at age three--replicating Mozart on his keyboard due to his perfect pitch and composing two years later. The Florida-based musician appeared on multiple national and international television shows including Oprah and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which led to claiming a Guinness World Record aged nine as the youngest-ever person to headline a solo concert tour and raising over $50 million for charities across almost 1000 headlined shows.
The pandemic eventually became necessary to distinguish his future from his past and to define the artist he wanted to become, as he soon found his way to the sound he'd long been reaching for: a boldly original and piano-driven take on alternative, pop, and indie music, exquisitely composed but rich in raw emotion. TikTok was an invaluable sounding board for Bortnick, manufacturing the communal feel he fell in love with on tour. The reaction to "cut my fingers off" was overwhelming, and the reception of August's thumping, explosive single "engravings" proved it wasn't a fluke, garnering Ethan 4.5 million new followers on TikTok. Both songs accumulated more than 58 million US streams, and both landed on multiple viral Spotify charts. In 2023, Ethan is set to release even more music and looks towards finally returning to the stage for a spring/summer headlined tour and festival appearances.

Young people playing a great concert! Ethan was amazing and his back up, especially his drummer, Nick Lewert was fantastic!!!
The show is very enjoyable! We saw him last year too. The only disappointment was his show this year was almost same as last year. Would have liked to see more new material.
I enjoyed seeing Ethan Live but don't think I need to see him every year live. I enjoyed the show. It was complete and fun.
So we became interested in Ethan from the endless PBS showings of his concerts and the hype surrounding his talents which I don't question but to see him in a venue such as Detroit Music hall and not have an orchestra to back him up was very disappointing it actually made it seem like we were in a high school gym a very forgetable perfromance, sorry Ethan!
I have wanted to see Ethan Bortnick since he was 8. Unfortunately, this was the first time I could attend his performance. He is now 16. The show was entertaining but it seems he had not altered his program since he was 8. It was great show for younger kids or audience who have followed him since he was young. Now that he is older, I think he needs to alter his program to attract bigger audience. Overall, it was enjoyable... like attending a piano bar. I am glad I got the Ethan Bortnik bug out of my system.
Apparently, I didn't read the fine print before I bought tickets to this concert. I couldn't make it to the show myself, but I sent four family members to the show with the expectation that the concert would be a MUCH larger production than it turned out to be. My family members enjoyed the show, but I'll have to admit that I was a bit crestfallen when I discovered my mistake. I'm still not sure if I was duped or if I was just not paying close enough attention to what I was purchasing. The redeaming thought I'm left with is that it was all for a good cause if it helps The Joy Of Music School accomplish their goals.
The concert was fabulous. Ethan is a very talented young man way beyond his actual age. It amazes me that at his age he plays the "old" songs and his audience is made up mostly of the older generation. His charitable contributions are also noteworthy.
The concert was entertaining and the time flew by. Ethan presents songs familiar to almost every age group! A lovely evening.
This young man puts his heart and soul into his performances. We were totally delighted with the entire evening. He engages the audience and it felt like we were all just in our living rooms at home having a fun time. His talent is amazing. I'm sure he was worn out from the many songs he sang and played but we truly appreciated it!
We thoroughly enjoyed this young man's concert. He knows how to share his own joy and enthusiasm for music and song. Inspiring for young musicians and energizing for everyone.
Amazing. A 14 year old Victor Borge. Not only is he a gifted pianist with absolute pitch, but he is a great stand up comic. It was also nice to have a show suitable for all ages.
A must see show! Ethan is an amazing entertainer for people of all ages. He plays and sings oldies and goodies, classics and current music. Love the music he composes. We need to see more of him.
A wonderful night, at twice the price. This young man is an entertainer way beyond his years. I hope he comes back to Columbus soon.
Not only is Ethan Bortnick exceptionally talented but he makes his concert fun for all ages. Wish his CD wasn't totally sold out so fast. I would have purchased one.
Quite an amazing young man. Very grounded, yet entertaining - and oh so talented. He just makes you smile . . .
To see Ethan Bortnick in person is a treat. He is an amazing 14 year old with talents and gifts of grace far beyond his years. Knowing of his charitable gifts to organizations which benefit children's and youth's betterment makes me so happy and proud for him. If you enjoy wholesome family entertainment combined with superb talent then this is the event to see. You come away feeling better for the world knowing there are people like him in it.
Ethan Bortnick isn't just an incredible talent on the piano, he has an overall stage presence that is so engaging and genuine. His voice is a well developed instrument as well. Ethan's performance was so entertaining, if you have the opportunity to go see him, you must go! Ethan received a standing ovation, and, to the crowds cheers, came back to the stage for an encore song! How great is that? (he's 14 years old!) His ability to play so well with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra was unforgettable, and his "band"-guitar, bass, keyboard and drums-are really great in their own right as well. But watching Ethan play solo is truly inspiring!
Loved the symphony, Ethan not all that talented. Maybe in 5-8 years?
Ethan Bortnick's performance was one of the most enjoyable events that I've been to lately. A young man with amazing talent. He can be listed with the best piano players. Not only does he play the piano but he also sings and writes some of the songs he plays. He has a wonderful future ahead of him. One day I think he'll be a household name. I saw him on the Oprah show several years ago and thought he was good. Today, he is magnificent. Don't miss his show "The Power of Music". It was fun the whole night with people clapping, singing and a few people got up and danced to a couple of his songs. Also, love the song he wrote and sang "Anything is Possible". I highly recommend his show.
