Australian electro-pop duo Empire of the Sun possess a well-proven ability to entertain. Known for their epic performances chock-full of production value and artistic flare, the band treated fans to one of the most exciting and synergistic concert experiences of the 2013 summer festival circuit. Accompanied on stage by a troupe of costumed dancers and state-of-the-art visuals, Empire of the Sun wowed ticket holders across the US and Europe with their energetic sets of danceable hits like "Alive" from 2013's Ice on the Dune.
Empire of the Sun began as the side project of musicians Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau.? With the success of their 2008 debut album Walking on a Dream, the project became a focal point for the duo, resulting in their first live performances as a band in 2009. In 2013, their sophomore album Ice on the Dune reached No. 3 in Australia and No. 20 on the US Billboard 200, with lead single "Alive" receiving the remix treatment by some of the world's top DJs including David Guetta, Zedd and DJ Tiesto. With their electrifying performance style, adrenalized synths, and electro beats, the duo is not afraid to push the limits of showmanship, leaving fans eager for their 2014 performances.

Amazing show. Amazing singer. Very captivating. He needs to come back more often to a bigger venue cause his show screams a bigger set up.
Luke Steele is a top notch showman! He totally brought the house down both nights and left the audience breathless! His energy is thru the roof! His shows never disappoint and are always the best I’ve ever seen. He’s very talented and charismatic and his performance is absolutely perfect! He’s the best!
Empire rocked the night!.they put on an amazing show!!!..but feel the venue was not good for them to play in and the people towards the back kept talking during the show very rudely instead of enjoying an awesome band!
I’ve seen Empire of the Sun in concert 3 times now and this was easily the worse show I’ve seen them perform. The vocals was absolutely horrible for the show. Not sure if they were having technical problems or if they meant to have the auto tuner they way it was, but it made the show a real disappointment.
I absolutely loved this concert! I have been a fan of Empire Of The Sun for several years and this was the first time I got to see them live. They were even better in person! I wouldn't change a thing about the concert. My only wish is that I could attend it over and over again! I will absolutely go to see them again when I can.
I went to this show full of anticipation, having never seen Empire of the Sun live before, and excited to return to Webster Hall. Preface - I am almost 40 and a married mother of three. I bought my ticket the minute it went on sale, grabbed my college roommate, applied glitter around the eyes, and took my place on the dance floor. Luke Steele DELIVERED. I was initially disappointed that Nick Littlemore wasn't also on stage, but saw on Twitter that he was denied entry to the U.S. But Luke (or should I say Emperor Steele) can hold it down. From the insane graphics, amazing lightworks and lasers, backup dancers with the most fantastical outfits, and of course - the incredible, mesmerizing, other-worldly, transcendent, eternal beats and lyrics - this show was just beyond. There is nothing else like it out there and I was bummed I didn't buy tickets for the next night. I will absolutely see them again and hope Luke and Nick continue making music together -- this world, and all the other ones -- badly need it!
This is my 4th time seeing them and they always put on a good show. Will defiantly see them again and again. Thanks !
Empire of the Sun put an incredible, magical show. It is unfortunate to not be able to see front row performances from the back or even any visuals when there’s so many tall people that you only get a glimpse if they’re moving/dancing. People in the back were LOUD chitchatting that it was hard to enjoy the show. Wish there was a way for short people to see the whole show than cutting people through to see.
It was the most amazing thrilling concert I’ve been to
