The Peppermint Club did not disappoint. The venue was accommodating to a standing room only crowd! Dawn Richard truly gave an amazing performance. She performed from her Second Line release and also gave us some Diddy Dirty Money tracks. Her show was filled with electro funk and even took us on rock journey! Awesome crowd! Awesome show!
I am an enormous Dawn fan, her records speak to me like few other artists. I have never caught her live since I discovered her music in 2017. I cannot tell you how hyped I was to see her live for the first time. I checked out YouTube live vids and wasn’t blown away but I was convinced that any poster had caught the live experience correctly. Cut to the show date. The line outside ran long and delayed due to sound check running behind. Absolutely no hard feelings as I haven’t been this excited to sing, dance and honestly cry my heart out to every track from “Second Line”. Once inside the venue, it was very small but beautiful and I was grateful to stand, drink in hand and finally see Dawn live. Once the show started I noticed the music was more organic than the electronic beats on her recordings. Coupled with her incredible dancers I had high hopes the show would be special. In terms of dancing, the show was phenomenal but I barely recognized any song Dawn performed and I really couldn’t sing along. It felt disjointed at times and not really representative of the incredible catalog I’ve become obsessed with over the years. Dawn is obviously talented, stunning, unique and legendary but this live show wasn’t the emotional experience I was hoping for. Nonetheless, I live for Dawn’s recorded music.

She gives an amazing show! Energy was a 10. Giving strong vocals and dope moves. I can't wait to see her perform again!
This was my first time seeing my favorite singer and I was not disappointed. She is amazing live,surreal to see her in person.She is talented and even more beautiful in person,she definitely put on a show!!!

My Dawn Richard experience has always been a pleasant one. She is one of the most electrifying and passionate entertainers I've ever seen with genuine love for her fans, and she is true and honest in her music. She ignited and blazed across the stage with all of her "BlackHeart" Album Songs, giving one of her fans the opportunity to come and perform with her on stage one of my favorites "Physical" which was not planned. The "BLACKHEART" Album was Incredible, seeing it performed live is completely out of this world!!!!!!! Unforgettable!!!!!
I went to see Dawn on May 28th @ The Gramercy Theater in NYC. It was absolutely amazingly Memorable. Hands Down the Best Night of My life. I Had a few drinks along with 2 of my sisters so we were amped and ready to party the second she came on stage. The place was Live. The Mood was right, and everyone came for the same reason. she sung almost every song on Golden Heart. (Which I LOVED). The thing I'll NEVER forget is towards the end of the concert she was talking to the audience and I yelled at the top of my lungs "LETS START A RIOT!" and everyone cheered. and she started singing "RIOT" but before the song was over she got off stage and came in to the crowd, straight to me, and held the mic out so i could finish the lyrics. I was sooo ecstatic, Nervous and drunk (lol). some people have pictures of that night and you tube videos. but I think my pic and memories are the BEST. I LOVE DAWN and ill continue to support her every time she's in town or close to town.
The show was amazing! It was the first time that I have had the oppurtunity to see her perform live and she did not disappoint. I was sitting up front and at one point she wanted to hop off the stage, she was making me nervous with those hills so I assisted her down. You can just feel the amazing spirit that she is and I will definitely make sure I catch every show that she has in the area from now on. #Heart
Dawn Richard from beginning to end made magic happen as she was on stage. Her voice, stage presence, and natural dance ability is absolutely untouchable, and will be remembered by all who were in attendance. She brings such an amazing energy and feeling to the room that your just family having a great time. Her talent was undeniable and she made want to buy another to for the next visit! When will that be?!?! Lol LETS GO DAWN!!!!!!!!!!! Love Her!
