Club 90s Tickets

This was my first time at House of Blues New Orleans. I took my newly 18 year old daughter and her friend because we all love Chappell Rone. The music and the DJ was great. I do feel like the “audience” was awkwardly there. Like they were watching the screen behind the DJ and was not sure what to do. The video of other events showed bubbles and more lights. It was like nobody was dancing. It did seem like everyone had a good time though. And I did feel safe being there. I do feel like it did not HAVE to be 18 plus. Maybe 16+. I know it was some sort of law with alcohol but I think it would have worked just fine. Also, when I called, I asked what time it would end and the person said around 1. However, the DJ ended it exactly at midnight. 3 hours was more like a middle school dance than an 18+ experience.

Good venue but I was expecting more 2000s music like 2000-2010 but it was mostly music from 2010-2015. It started at 9pm and was done before 12:30 which was kind of early for a Saturday but overall it was fun, but not what I expected.

I celebrated my 21st birthday at the 2000s music night and had a blast!! Will definitely be coming to more of these!!

literally the best event my friends and I have went to. we normally go to gay clubs or other venues but this one made it the best night we’ve ever had. I really hope we are able to attend another event like this again soon!!

Love these 2000s themed nights, I just wish they didn’t end so early! They end at midnight. My friends and I sometimes have to work at night so we only make it for a couple of hours. Please start later and end later! Otherwise, it’s always fun! They play a mixture of pop and rock (more pop would be nice too!)

They straight up just played music videos on a screen and used the audio from that. No DJing whatsoever. Whenever there was a pause in the music video, the song stopped. No transitions to the next song, no continuity. Was worst than my high school homecoming.

Was literally just a bar set up on the side of the highway with $22 drinks. Not what I was expecting at all. Waste of money

It was mostly sad songs. If I wanted to feel sad I would have stayed home. There was also a lot of videos that the artist took, which I understand trying to get yourself out there but for every single song seems a little excessive to me.

I was a little skeptical going into this show initially, thinking that it would be a fairly short since Chappell Roan only has so much discography. This show turned into the perfect mix of Chappell of other “gay pop” stars and the perfect anthems for the night. I definitely want to go to more and more of these.
