Unexpectedly good!
by NotaCountryFan on 9/11/24Vetter Stone Amphitheater - MankatoMy wife forced me to go so I wasn't expecting much. Venue was very intimate. (small) Parking was non-existent. One food truck for 3,000 people. Had great seats, 8 rows back center floor. At least I thought they were great seats until Gulliver showed up and sat in front of me. I mean, this guy was a giant. Probably 6'-8"and two axe handles wide. He immediately took of one of his boots and pulled out a Sharpie, then stood up the rest of the show holding up his boot and Sharpie thinking that Clint Black would stop the show and sign this boot. Nobody else standing except Gulliver! Our only chance to see the show was during his 8 trips to buy beer. Finally, the last 15 minutes or so he sat down and passed out... but by that time Clint was into his hits and the rest of the floor was standing. I guess you have to expect that with floor seats. Overall, the performance was better than expected. Musicians were exceptionally talented. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 stars. Clint had nothing to do with the giant in front of me. You would think that people would look around and see that they are the only ones standing and recognize that they are as big as a house!
