Indiana-born Clayton Anderson grew up on a steady diet of Colts football, summers on Lake Monroe, and the music of hoosier musical legends like John Mellencamp and David Lee Roth. In college he picked up the guitar hoping to impress the ladies, and before long he was penning tunes and performing locally. In 2008 he won Kenny Chesney's Next Big Star Contest, giving him the push he needed to pursue music full-time. He quit his job at a mortgage company and hunkered down, and in 2011 he released his debut album Torn Jeans & Tailgates. The album peaked at No. 11 on the iTunes Country Chart, landing him in the company of giants like Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton and signaling big things to come. After extensive touring in support of the release, Anderson's rise continued in 2014 with his sophomore album Right Where I Belong, a Top 20 hit on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart.
