Carrot Top (the stage name of Scott Thompson) is one of today's most celebrated and successful comedians. With his high-energy stage presence and endless supply of clever, inventive props, Carrot Top has entertained audiences worldwide, from his numerous live shows in Las Vegas and across the nation to his frequent television appearances. Carrot Top performed his first stand-up show at an open mic night while attending Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Upon graduation, he worked a number of odd jobs while honing his stand-up act, eventually performing at clubs in Florida and North Carolina. Soon Carrot Top was performing across the U.S. and landed his first TV appearance on the show Comic Strip Live and his first appearance on The Tonight Show in 1992. Carrot Top was named both Entertainer of the Year and Comedian of the Year by National Association of Campus Activities in 1993, and in the following year he won the American Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-Up. Today, Carrot Top's live show has grown to rock-n-roll proportions, employing music, fog machines and other stage effects. At the center of the live show remain Carrot Top's off-the-wall personality, ripped-from-the-headlines subject matter, and witty, laughter-inducing props.
