The best part of the show was the host’s song performances. All burlesque acts were very unoriginal and very similar to the next performer. The main act was introduced as the queen of burlesque and it couldn’t have been far from the truth. Seeing this show doesn’t compare to the ones in California, Hawaii, or Europe.
I try to see Carousel Club each time it plays in Houston. Delilah Dubois is the best, both as the Emcee and as a performer. The rest of the line up are among the best Burlesque performers in Texas, if not the world.
First of all, the House of Blues Dallas is a fantastic venue. The staff is always friendly and overall, the place just feels safe. The show was great. Delilah was entertaining and a good emcee. I appreciated the short intermission which is commonplace for every burlesque show I've been to. Every act was done tastefully and true to the burlesque form. The meet and greet afterwards was fun and it was cool getting to stand on the stage for pics. I highly recommend!
MC isn’t as entertaining as she thinks she is and 10-15 at a time hearing her talk was boring. Need to work in more acts. What was the *30 min* intermission in the middle—
I've seen several burlesque shows in Houston, and this one takes the cake. Spend your money on a VIP seat! You won't regret it!
The dancing and show was amazing! The house of blues was also nice and provided security bar service and food.
This was our first burlesque show. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The show as well as the experience was outstanding! The performers were skillful in their artform and it was a beautiful show. The MC was hilarious and beautiful.
The new Holiday costumes are great. The MC sang a very nice BB King classic! Don’t miss the next show!
Purchased GASeat but no one was there to confirm you had booked it so GA was sitting in the chairs. I assumed it would be Caberet or comedy club style seating (with someone escorting you and confirming your ticket, but no). The 45 min intermission during a 2 hour and 15 min show seemed irrational as well. Does not make me want to return. Actual Burlesque dancers were good, so this part of the experience definitely brings it down.
Wife and i have been to several shows. Always great performances.
