Dave Foster, Tom DeVito and Russ Alderson formed in 1994 as Bubble on NYC's Lower East Side, out of the legendary anti-folk movement that spawned everyone from Beck to the Moldy Peaches. They released their eponymous EP in 1995 to critical praise (compared to Oasis and Blur as well as Weezer and friends The Presidents of the United States of America) and decent college airplay (incl. frequent appearances live on WFMU). Following up in 2000 with the full-length "Bash Bish"produced by Fred Smith of Television), with Russ Alderson and Matt Lindsey on bass, Rich Feridun on guitar and Jon Spurney on keys and guitar. More critical praise and college radio followed.
Dave then took a break to focus on being a parent and to finish his debut solo album "Blue Circle", released in 2007 as well as perform full Beatle albums with Bubble for families in NYC. In 2009 Bubble released "Seconds". Over the next decade the lineup shifted to add Rembert Block on vocals and accordion, Charly Roth on keyboards and Mike Fornatale on guitar. In 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, they released their 3rd full length album ?Other Broken Dreams? and finally celebrated with a release party at The Cutting Room in July of 2021.
They are currently recording new material and releasing monthly digital singles exclusively on Bandcamp.
