Bob Rubin Tickets

Bob Rubin continues to be the most innovative and conceptual comedian on the scene but may be underrated by the club's management. His show was filled with his own unique style of material that engaged the diverse audience through his mental stimulation. The Rube is brilliant in his approach by taking you there while you don't know where you're going. In my opinion, he is on top of the heap of comedians. Last year’s show was also a Wednesday–not a weekend–which means that we fans who live 50+ miles away have to take a day off, drive in commuter traffic, and not be able to have a full "date night"out on the town. Bob Rubin is one of the Club's best attractions and should be given prime billing and placement. Shame on the Punchline's lack of comedic vision when they should be Rube's biggest promoter. This year, we all expected a weekend show for this Headliner. Plus, I missed Bubbles. It is expensive to attend a show at the Punchline. The parking is horribly inconvenient, the Signature drinks were weak, and popcorn is $9.00! Yet, great waitstaff and warm crew. But for a night with Bob Rubin, it's priceless!

It’s been years since has played. A ton of new material and those classics the fans would remember.

There’s not much else to say. The old Rube’s still got the touch. Check out his tight hour on episode 2 of Patton Oswalt’s I Love Everything show, on Netflix, to psych yourself up for a Bob Rubin show. Oswalt has done the world a service to place Bob on the world stage, but experiencing this artist’s energy in person kicks it up to the next level. An indescribable experience, one need not extend any effort to concern oneself with the real world, current events, or other upper-hanging fruit while sitting in his audience. He spins a fresh world around you, both entirely bizarre and surprisingly comfortable given what this fella conjures. A must see!

Saw him a few months ago and again last month at Doc's Lab and going Oct. 14th 2015again. Very loyal following and when you see his show you will know why

Bob had not performed in the Bay Area for about 6 or 7 years so it was great to see him again. He was more down-to-earth than in the past, talking more about himself. He did not seem to have a complete performance planned so was open to "taking requests" from the audience. (I guess he did not learn anything from all that time spent with Alex Bennett...) He appeared more slim and reportedly had quit drinking (well, mostly), but was still just as hilarious as ever. A great show!

He was just as crazy as he was when I last saw him 30 years ago. A lot skinnier now and he dyes his hair brown. Other than that, same ol' Rube,
