The world has come to know Blxst as a culture-shifting multi-hyphenate -- singer, rapper, producer, songwriter, executive -- and a master of all. Leading the new wave of L.A. hip-hop since 2020's billion-streaming No Love Lost EP, he's earned multiple career-defining awards, collaborated with global greats, sold out tours across the world, and has always kept his foot on the gas.
In 2023, Blxst reached a new career high with his first two GRAMMY Award nominations for "Best Melodic Rap Performance" as a feature on Kendrick Lamar's "Die Hard" with Amanda Reifer, and "Album of the Year" on Lamar's revered LP, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Posting up more than 2.8 billion career streams, he finished the year earning several "Best of 2022" titles from key opinion leaders such as Associated Press, Rolling Stone, LA Times, and more.
But with his 2024 debut album, I'll Always Come Find You, he's changing his pace a bit.
Executive produced by Grammy-winning producer Sounwave (Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, Beyonce) I'll Always Come Find You is Blxst's most motivated project to date. The 20-track concept album is split into four acts where Blxst takes on the character of Birdie, a young man who inherits his father's chauffeur car service upon his sudden passing. While Birdie's focus is on the destination ahead, he's confronted with a constant reminder of the life lessons his father instilled in him throughout experiences unfolding in the backseat. I'll Always Come Find You is the soundtrack to Blxst and Birdie's introspective journeys, analyzing the twists and turns of love and relationships, personal identity, and self-reflection.
Slowing down to reflect on his journey thus far while he looks out to the open road, Blxst has both hands on the wheel and knows exactly where he's going.
I want to continue to go to the concerts. It feels like work.
Just like the person below, said that they performed about an hour and saying partial of each song. I got there a little bit late, first of all, this was my first time, even going to Fox Theatre for a concert. It was difficult to find my seat because the seats are even numbered. Both of them did their thing, but I wish the show was a little bit longer This was my first time seeing Blxst and Bino live in concert but if I’m gonna be honest here, I could’ve stayed home and kept my money, then just listened to their music vibing at home
Blxst and Bino did they thang when coming to Oakland, but they only preformed about an hr and they only sang partials of each song.
A great night with great people. Blxst put on a great performance and brought out some great guest appearances
Well worth the money. The concert was a vibe, and my crew enjoyed the experience. Only downfall was how long it took to enter the venue.
I am glad I had a opportunity to experience a live performance of Blxst. Just had a few things that I would like to address. 1. The bag check process was chaos. Employees had a hard time finding purses after the show was over. To add, I seen a few ladies inside venue that had a purse bigger than mine. 2. I purchased reserved seating, there were individuals trying to take seats that were not assigned or purchased by them and they were standing blocking the view.
THE CONCERT WAS REALLY COOL NOTHING BUT GOOD VIBES BLXST WAS AWESOME!!
The experience was great!! I really wish they would tell you which part is vip and which is the regular line. But I loved it. I loved blxst. ????
100/10…by far one of the best concerts we’ve been too this year. Also this venue seems so much smaller from the outside but is pretty huge. The vibes were thru the roof
Got there @5:30 for VIP Check In. Didn’t make it in until 6:30pm. Doors opened at 7. Wish VIP got more time to chill in the venue by themselves. He didn’t come on until 10pm and it ended around 11:30-11:40ish. Wish it wasn’t like that no one wants to stand around THAT long. After every song ended it went black and it made me nervous thought it was about to end after every song and we had been waiting. So would suggest better transitions between songs. The blue light made it hard to see him & couldn’t record good footage. Plus he didn’t come to the left side of the stage often. Love his music & love to see a black man make it! Cheyenne was great! The stage production was dope, live band was lit! I loved when he performed Couldn’t Wait For It. So inspiring! Loved the guest he had come out!! Leaving this review with pure intentions so that the next experience would be greater! Much love ??
