The Bill Picket rodeo exceeded my expectations. The show was superb!

I really enjoyed the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo for several reasons, including seeing African Americans doing positive, fun, and different sports events. The children were awesome and starting at young ages setting goals and fulfilling ambitions while having fun. The only problem was we did not get a chance to see the relays, they ran out of time or something. We were asked to leave the arena before we could see the relay races. Overall, I still had a nice time.

This is my second year attending the BPR. This rodeo has never dissapointed me, I love the showmanship, events and performances at the BPR. I especially loved Howard Johnson's soulful melodic voice. The venue was indoors so the rain didn't affect the show, but that venue's vendors were on the expensive side. I went to the show in Upper Marlboro Maryland, so I traveled a few hours but it was worth it! I Will return next year!!!!

This was my first time going to any rodeo and it did not disappoint. Loved every second. The kiddos that run are amazing and I swear those horses have better brakes than my car. I will be better prepared next time for the amount of food offerings in the arena. Should have known we would show up and show out. Thank you for this wonderful experience. If you havent' gone to the Bill Pickett Rodeo get your tickets early next time.

Every part is the event you a great , start with the kids riding the horses, love the relay event because the team are men and women and end with the bull riding. The food is good and the atmosphere is outstanding. I will be back there every year that host it.

I really enjoyed the rodeo. The children under 16 added an amazing highlight to the show. The vendors had quality food that was delicious. The persons taking the tickets were excellent, patience and helpful. I wish at the 130pm show that the ladies could've performed the relay barrel race. Also. I wish the cowboys and cowgirls could have taken pictures with us and given out their autographs on the souvenir booklets.

My family and I traveled from Philadelphia to Maryland for our first Bill Pickett Rodeo. This family fun event was worth every moment of our travels! The rich history, the experience, the DJ, the family friendly environment was phenomenal!! We can’t wait to return next year and bring some friends. Thank you for bringing our cowboy history to the east coast.

Yes, this was my first time in the rodeo, and I loved it! I had a fun experience at the Bill Pickett Rodeo in Upper Marlboro Md. The fans were fab and the cowboys were a delight. Kudos to girl power because the cowgirls did not disappoint. It was great for all ages. DO not miss it next year.
